went to check on my outdoor girls today and my oldest lady is not looking good - is this bud rot??

Should I cut her now? I really need some advice on what to do. I definitely don’t want her infecting the rest of my garden! San I use Serenade on the other flowering plants to try and stave off a spread of this?

I’m including some trichome pix to help. Sorry about the quality of the pix - I literally had amazon drop off the microscope camera like an hour ago. Lol. So I’m still trying to figure out how to use it:

pretty hard to tell yet is there any purple traits in your strain if not then id gentle seperate the bud and look around the stem if there is like a white fuzz / hairs or fibre then its probly bud rot you could just chop the bud off to be safe or keep a eye on it

never had br all i see are orange hairs(i am eejit) on the not close up there seems to be a bit of brownness. @trailanimal has a 6th sense for budrot,i wonder if hes knocking about

Hey DTOM420! Pics look suspicious. With your fingers open up that bud some and see if brownage goes all the way in, that's where it will be coming from. Wash hands! If it turns out to be bud rot, I'd harvest, I don't see a lot of white hairs. Take your time trimming, get a real good look at everything. Many times bud rot reveals itself by a brown bud leaf that will pull right out. You can remove infected buds, but that won't do anything to fact that she doesn't have resistance. A very dry change in the environment would help, I'm really good at stating the obvious. I have extremely high humidity during ripening, I harvest when no more white pistils, flowering has stopped! If I wait for amber I'm just asking for trouble.

I checked and I don’t see any brown on the stem but there’s definitely brown on parts of the bud. Maybe necrotic tissue on some of the bracts? Here a couple more pix from my phone

Just posted some more pix. That looks just like what you described, doesn’t it?? Brown leaves? I don’t see and brown stems but I’m worried. I’m tempted to harvest the ones that look like this now, pull the plant from the garden and move her away and watch the other buds for the next day or two.

I did give her a strong dose of bloom nutes 2 days ago. Could it just be nute burn? I pulled a bud apart and the stem is definitely NOT brown. It’s only the bracts and calyx’s.

I was hoping for amber trichones and I haven’t flushed yet because I thought I had a few weeks left. Ugh.

this definitely looks worrisome! When you harvest be sure to remove all rot spots, washing hands and scissors with each spot removed.

I did. It’s only 1. Do you think it’s possibkr it’s just a nute burn from a strong PK feeding only about 36 hours ago? Just curious since there’s no brown to the stalk - it’s only the flowers themselves. What’s weird is that it’s occurred in an open bud and not down between a couple of cramped buds where there’s less airflow. If it was going to appear anywhere I would have thought it’d for sure be in a cramped area without any airflow; but there’s none there. Then, I wonder if I could have accidentally dropped a few drops of nute-laced water on it when I was reaching to feed other plants?
