Grow Mediums Is this root rot.

Smell and slime are trademarks of root rot. Personally I would not do DWC without Botanicare HydroGuard.

I always run hyddroguard since my first battle with rot. well the first time it was my fault for putting my dwc bucket in the hottest room of the house and it started stinking and roots looked crappy, lost some and saved some with h202 treatments and then hydroguard. then i lost a pineapple express auto recently running hydroguard and temps 60 to 70 , i figure that was another grower error, either too high water level or fungus gnats killed it. couldnt save her. so now im all paranoid about pythium. lol

Update: this grow turned out great. Was my first hydro run.
