Let me first I love this site...now the asinine comment. A lot of times I go on here and it takes like a full minute to change pages, or navigate. Often it will not even change pages but say AFN is not responding. Its not my computer because it only does it on here, and well,,,occasionally porn sites. LOL
Does anyone else experience this?

This site is slower for me than most, but nowhere near that slow. Pages take 5-10 seconds to load a lot of times, instead of instantly like everywhere else.

too much porn bro... too much. :porn perv:

I experience the same, often page loads time out, especially when posting, and the infamous Cloudflare reverse proxy that the forum uses is kind enough to inform me the website is not available.

More on Cloudflare......

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CloudFlare

"As of March 2014, CloudFlare was ranked in the top 10 of the world's worst hosts and networks based on malicious traffic it hosts.[18]

Cloudflare is hosting numerous websites selling stolen credit cards.[19]

Two of ISIS' top three online chat forums are currently guarded by CloudFlare.[20"

From http://www.crimeflare.com/target2.html

"But CloudFlare itself doesn't even bother to answer abuse complaints. They believe in something called "Internet freedom," which apparently includes the freedom to break criminal laws and screw over other people."

And Cloudflare places cookies on my devices for God knows what reason.... But I'm pretty sure it's not because Cloudflare loves my blue eyes!

It's all rather dubious like.....!

No speed issues whatsoever here. What browser are you guys using? Operating system? Is it a cell phone? Are you getting time-outs when posting picture updates?

Corgy, cloudflare was implemented to help protect the site after some attacks we had last year. It's not perfect, but it's done a bang-up job for what we need it to do. If we ever do a forum upgrade (or switch software,) maybe that will be the time to look at some different options, but in the meantime it's worked well for our needs. :tiphat:

I understand why Cloudflare was installed......

Forum upgrade or changing software.............doesn't bear thinking about, a right nightmare........been there, done it........countless grey hairs wiser!

Bridges to cross when we get there :Hookah:

Just in case you decide that it's not a bridge too far.......I personally think phpBB is more user friendly, especially latest version 3.1......plenty very good extensions......and it's free!!
