Elle, a lesson learned the hard way, when using any tool, cut away from yourself no matter how award it is. I peeled my finger like a carrot with a slip of a Stanley (that's a box cutter for you internationals). I use scissors for stripping cables, a trick I picked up from an old sparks. Not much use on 3 phase armoured cable mind.

I know that one, and I was. But it was being really tough so when it finally went there was quite a bit of pressure behind it. Anyway, no real harm done. How's the finger today?

Ouch! It must have been a day for it yesterday, I was cutting through rubber casing to strip back some wires for my lights and the stanley knife slipped so I have a nice slash across my index finger.


I will have you know that I don't join in with this hiding from witchy stuff, it's just the guys! Not all Brits are created equal

@Eclectic Elle sorry to hear about the finger. I once did exactly the same, with a dessert knife! Have you tried cutting through skin with a dull knife? Believe me, it's an experience! Left a trail of blood on the floor as I ran to the bathroom sink...

Brits are fun! Growing up we had two Welsh twins that moved to our area in New York when I was in high school. Scott and Andrea. They were the most fun brother and sister you could hang with... I wonder where they are now... Here or back in Wales.. But man did we have good fcking times getting pissed! Woo hoo! Good mates
