They fired you because your job caused a medical condition?!? In America you would receive Workmen's Compensation for having to miss work for the medical condition caused by your job & if you didn't get it the company is liable for the damages caused to you by performing your job, aka lawsuit.
That's a bummer @Itisi, I'm sorry to hear that.

I'm on my probation period still, you don't get any work rights until you've been employed for 2 years by that company. It's repetitive strain injury, so it's something that has happened over my working career. There's no single company to blame. They're paying me up for the month, I should be able to pick something else up pretty quickly. Fortunately I have qualifications that are in high demand.

As long as your not out of work to long if I was you I would still see a lawyer one of those no win no fee if you ever filled out an accident form in work stating about said injury you should be able to claim whether you've been there two years or not that goes for past jobs trust me I'm a scouser [emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23]

So. Got the sack for too much Tom & dick, with my hand problems caused by work!

Fook's sake man! So have they put you on gardening leave? If so you'll be able to get the garden sorted while you're finding another job.

Thing is geez, it's probably gonna happen again unless you find a place with automatic vans and you don't see many of them. [emoji848]

Damn man, sorry to hear. Major bummer. :bighug:

RSI can flare up any time. I had to switch mouse buttons to the other way round at work years ago because of RSI and that was only one finger. I'd hate it to be a wrist...

Chin up dude!

Fortunately, I have 15 years supervisory experience. I'm on to the agencies to find something less hands on. That's plan a. Plan b is......feck knows! I don't earn bad money doing what I do, there's not much chance of a career change with simular renumeration (just brushing up on the big words for interviews).
