Those sleeves really help, dude. I get these pains on my wrists and elbows. On the wrists, it feels like something painfully stretching inside the wrists, and the elbows are a different pain, on the lower arm external side, like a sore muscle.

Anyway, I have the sleeve for the wrists and something that adds pressure to the lower arm and makes the elbow stop hurting, I think it's tennis elbow. Even though I've never played tennis...

I use the wrist things.

I had tennis elbow, I downloaded an advice sheet and it said 'tennis elbows is caused by having a sloppy backhand and playing with wet heavy balls' so I stopped doing that!

The physio advised me to 'use tools that make your job easier!'

Why didn't i think of that? I've been taking these things apart with my bare hands!

^those are 7 million btu each, incase any body's interested. Or it might be 14, dunno, it was a couple of years ago.

Webmd has done diagnostics that doctors failed to figure out with my mom. She had horrible digestive problems for a couple of years, multiple doctors kept saying it was this and that, nothing fixed it. One day, I got her on the phone and started going through the symptoms on webmd and it turned out to be allergies to her diabetes meds. She spoke with the doctor the next day, switched the med and it went away...

The way it works with the NHS is this. Your local Dr. Gp's they call over here, gets money from the NHS per patient registered. They like people that come in and walk out with a prescription for meds. They don't like people who need lots of tests that they think are unnecessary. Such as xrays and scans, coz that comes out of their budget. 18 months it took before they sent me for an ultrasound, that revealed this thickening of the tendon sheaths.

What's btu?

(Hope the wankers cramp gets better soon bud, those boiler rooms can be lonely places!)

Lol.

British thermal units, the prefered currency of our friends across the pond. It's 2 megawatt (or 4).

Got a review in work next week, think the time I've had off over this will be an issue.

Aww well, a man of your skills will easily find another cushy number if it goes tits up.

Sounds like you need rattle a few cages at th'ospital tho bud. It's easy to get fobbed off with stuff that's not life threatening. Did you explain that you can't work with dodgy wrists?

Endlessly! I think it confuses them because I'm not trying to get signed off! Only time I've asked for a cert is to prove I'm fit for work (when I'm technically not).

Last year the quacks advice was, 'do something different for a living'. Ok, 35 years of fixing stuff qualifies me to do what that doesn't involve using my hands?

it is isn't it?

It's the driving that ags it the most, our car is OK, it's automatic. The gear changes in the van ruin me.
