Mephisto Genetics It's Skywalker Time!

that sux .. how to do u germ ? i have 95% with water overnight and then papertowel.. have only lost 1 bean so far .. on pure germ... i might have dropped, buried to deep etc others haha

Same method for me, cup of water til the seed cracks (usually less than 24 hours) then the paper towel in the zip loc until the roots sprout some then into the dirt.

Girls seem to be on cruise control, just need the roots to start to spread out so I can take over on feeds getting excited for this run with what has popped.............

I'm so stoked but it doesn't look like the other three beans are going to sprout which sucks because I only bought a pack of 7 lol. So I need to see what to germinate now to start and mix up between the two tents. I've never had issues with mephisto beans not popping until my last two orders, I know 100% is not guaranteed but when half your pack of fem beans don't pop and they're not cheap it blows. Last time was my chemdogging beans that didn't pop except for 1 out of 6 which sucked but they were freebies so whatever...........

Yours looks fantastic great job. :d5:
i soak my seeds for about 8 hours in a cup of water with fulvic acid and a dash of seaweed extract and then i put st8 into a jiffy pot..ive had about 98% germination doing it this way.gl i'll be watching the grow as i am interested in the skywalkers myself..i almost got the illuminatuo grape skywalker kush today as well but i didnt. i went for the gold glue instead.

100% is pretty crazy, you have never had a bad seed? @awolace It happens every once in awhile.

I do paper towel method, 95% success rate.

Congrats on getting these beans finally. I'll be following along. I've got one going now too, her first sets of leaves were funky but seems to be coming along now. :eyebrows:

Yup never had a bean fail to germinate. I planted two more testers before I left for my break however, I've probably just jinxed things now.

I germ right into final pot in coco. Give them a little rhizotonic and Coco A and B to keep things stable. 100% so far. I did accidentally kill one after sprout once but that was in a jiffy and trying to transplant. (Before I used coco). Now I say fook it and whisper sweet things as I throw her in a hole.... Seems to work quite well.

I'm subbed up for the grow!! Keep on keepin on!

I'm still on a 100% record (touch wood) with my method of soaking in a shot glass and then putting into soil.
yup im 100% with mephito genetics myself but id say 98% over the last couple years with photo beans from herbies & seedsman..i really dont see the point of putting in the paper towel. its just 1 extra step that is not needed. when u put in paper towels and it shows tap root u still gotta put it into the soil so why not skip the paper towel and stick st8 into soil..differnt strokes for different folks and all that i suppose

@kygiacomo I personally have found that putting into straight soil, for my setup, makes a smaller plant. I start in the paper towel, plant into a solo cup. 6-7 days later, I transplant into the final container. Everyone is happy.

Everyone has there own unique way to grow. That's what makes it fun!

@awolace Your pretty lucky then. I have been growing for almost 13 years. Bound to find a bad seed or two, especially when testing seeds. Mephisto genetics have been rock solid though!!!! It's been other companies or local bred stuff I have had some germ issues with.
