I was talking to a girlfriend from Austria just now about life, money, work and ofc I had to wander what are this guys working, beside smocking :)).
So if you feel like sharing what job you have shoot here. Hope there isn't another thread about this...

No one works or is this a stupid question to ask? :))

Well as of January 12 I became a full time student so school is my job.

I lost my Job in January but im going to open up a Online Growshop soon so Self Employed ;)

I work Retail at a Fishing/sporting shop. We deal in Water Sports such as boating, skiing, wake boarding, and fishing. Also a bit of a deli, and aconvenience store.

I worked 25 years as a Chef, now I make much less, and I am so much more happier.

I work in a factory, testin motherboards for electrical and gas "clocks" don't know the word for them. Shitty pay but stress free, almost. And sometime money < stress.

Professional cripple here...

ex-telecoms engineer, worked and lived in 24 countries during my working life till I had an accident in Ukraine in 1992 which left me paraplegic.
As far as smoking goes....

Oman... military contract 1979 - 1981, was getting pure hashish from the seargent in the stores, he was a Baluchistani and his family produced the stuff, but I could get whiskey which he couldn't, so we would deal that way, I give him a bottle of Johnny Walker Black Label (cost me around £4) and he would give me 5 ounces approx of hashish... and I assure you it was absolutely pure and the best hash I've ever ever had.

Nigeria 1981 - 1982, reasonable quality bush-weed.

Hawaii, 1984 for 2 months on ANZCAN submarine cable, the weed on Oahu was called "Pacalolo", and was fantastic, cheap at first for the first month, then I got a local girlfriend who's family grew it, so then free...
http://atlantic-cable.com/Cables/1984ANZCAN/
Norfolk Island, 1984 for 7 months, also ANZCAN... weed grew wild on the Island, so was free...

United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi and Dubai) 1984 - 1986, occasional good weed available from the Thai workers who would bring in audio cassettes, as a disguise as they contained "Thai stick" really.

Thailand 1986, living in Bangkok and Kanchanaburi... free weed through my local girlfriends family...

but most countries I worked in it was too risky to get weed, and the biggest surprise was Brazil (1991) where I lived for 6 months, not able to get much weed there, no problem getting cocaine but I had no interest in cocaine.

Retired Jack of all trades! I've worked as a millwright in the paper industry, a welder building everything from shipping containers to wood stoves. Spent 11 years working in an institution for the developmentally disabled. Got hurt on the job and had to find something else to do, so I turned my hobby, computers, into my profession. Worked for a couple of computer shops, then worked for a company that outsources computer techs to IBM, HP, etc. I worked for HP for a couple years then opened and ran my own repair shop until I retired.

I was in the army5 years desert storm then went to school for I.t. And worked for almost 20 years till the shit from the war got me sick. I worked at one school district for 8 years, making 70 something a year but had to quit cause the bs, there's more to life than money. Now I'm a house husband. Lol

IT Director, medium size shop but 13 locations. Good job, nice culmination of 25 years in IT/MIS. Due to some issues earlier in my life I cannot retire until I hit 70, if I live that long! So, ten more years for me, but no complaints I love my work and where I work as well. If only the pay was a bit better. Had a bunch of jobs previous to this, owned a few businesses. I think some of the coolest stuff I did was as a refractory mason in a large steel mill. This was back in 1972 when we still made steel in the US. Unbelievable the size of everything. Did you know that graphite was a byproduct of making iron. In the open hearth building there were piles of the stuff everywhere some were feet deep! Just crazy, and heat, oh man the heat. We got to work on furnaces that just tapped a heat (let the steel out) to brick up a small hole. The temp inside would be just shy of 2,500 F!!! Yow.
Anyways I have lived a and worked for, a long interesting life!
