New Grower Jock horror(Nirvana seeds)

Here is what the trichomes look like on the top half of the plant..All milky with a hint of amber and all standing up in full right attention!I am planning to take the top half of the plants in 2 days when they are dry and continue to flower the bottom branches..As this is a predominantly sativa strain,i was advised not to wait for too much amber as it will degrade the quality.What do you guys think?and you any of you use the dark period method and cut and put in fresh water in the dark for 24 hours or are all these methods myths?Waiting to hear from you guys..cheers!Have a happy Easter!

If I do anything the last couple of days before harvest it's simply to allow the plant to dry out (let the pot get light) and I may give it 24-48 hrs in cool darkness which can bring on color changes in some plants ... usually I'm not that organized and the plant gets cut first thing in the morning on the day I decide to do it ... as long as you're gentle I don't think you have anything to worry about with your plants ... What's the rh in your drying room ?

Week 10 on Tuesday..Gave them a fourth flush today.Really for the life of me i can't tell if they are ready.Some help please?

I can't tell a clear trichome from a cloudy one and I have an even harder time w/ amber so I generally check the pistils ... are the buds you're considering cutting done putting out new pistils ? If so I'd cut them ... If they are starting to look like a couple of milfs doing the walk of shame ... I'd cut them, at least the tops ... then drop your lights closer to the bottoms . If you want to send some of that harvest to the states for safe keeping I'll be happy to watch over it for you ....

Ha ha!I can do my own safe keeping thank you very much! pistils are generally reddish/brown (top half of the plant) but sporadically there are some white ones emerging from that look like cotton and they look like they are reaching out for something.Maybe a handshake or something!I won't be able to chop now for another four days as the had water today.Tuesday they dry,Tuesday top half plants come down! I mean if they are ready now,it won't hurt to wait a few more days right?I hope i do this right,would hate my self if i fucked up after a 4-5 month wait..

Thank you sofa,Thank you chester!These girls smell like nothing i have ever smelt before!they smell exotic!! I have a sample slow drying which should be dry by the same day i decide to take the top half of the plants!Would be a nice treat after harvest! :group:

I decided to give them a good flush since there are not much signs of leaves yellowing and im on week ten of flowering Thursday which is tomorrow.I figured there is a good 16 liters of soil in the pots so i ran 32 liters of water each though them yesterday and today some yellowing on bottom leaves is more visible.
In comparison with some previous pictures,they really swell up..and top buds are hard as rocks..
Still no idea as to when to take them down!Never trust a seed bank i suppose when it comes to stating the real flowering time..Oh well! :group:
