Joe's new grow.

Ordered a cheep 4X4 grow tent today. Its a little large for a 600W but I felt a 3X3 was just too small for growing 4 autos or photos at a time. I would only be able to grow 1 photo in a 3X3 and the tent will be doing both. After I harvest my oldest plants I will probably start 2 autos in the tent and after I harvest this plant I will start 2 photos.

So I can see the nitrogen is a little high for this plant like the last but so far doing OK. Will have pictures tomorrow. The manure is good after about day 14 on up so I am thinking maybe I should fill my starting pots 1/4 full of my bloom mix with added manure and regular roots in the upper 3/4 of the pots.

Here is a picture up date guys. This is day 11 now, so long to go... Thinking of putting extra bat guano in my bloom mix before it transplant in to it or maybe putting an extra table spoon in the bottom of the pot because my current grow I think I could have upped the P and had a little better results and this grow the mix is a little lighter on P. I have not decided yet. I might leave things how they are and use fox farm big bud if I have to as a last resort.

So notices my purple kush that's 2 weeks from harvest is showing a lack of P and although it is from other nutrients locking it out I added another 1/4 cup of bat guano to the bloom mix for a total of 1/2 cup of 0-10-0 guano to 1 bag of roots organic. My current grow had a few sources of P and only had 1/4 cup of guano so decided to up it as this is my main source of that nutrient unlike my last batch which had 3 main sources of P. That only makes under 1 table spoon per gallon of soil which I think should be ok as this is only going to be filling the bottom half of the pot. If not I have had to much phosphorus before and know what it looks like and will just back off next batch of soil. I think I am good though. The mushroom compost is an unknown for me so if I see leaves start to twist or tip burning I will also have to use less mushroom compost next time as I went heavy with it. I have a full #1 nursery pot full of it. This little guy is growing fast. The next picture I take it should be in flower. Around the time it flowers I will be starting a new seed and be close to harvest of 2 autos. My wife wants me to start a Dinafem Cheese XXL auto next time. I wanted to stay on the Red Dwarf tell I get my mix a little more dialed in so I was making changes with the same strain to keep from chasing my tail a little but I also want to grow some other things too. I am very back and forth on what to grow next. My only experience with any type of cheese is the Exodus cheese photo which was a tricky plant to grow. After that one I also have Samsara, Supersonic Crystal Storm auto I need to grow out. There both freebees and I need to grow some of my freebees out before they get too old so I can make another order.

So I am getting ready to use some mushroom compost too, but I've read a few places that it won't burn in general. It should have a pretty low NPK as is. I plan on adding 5 gallons to my upcoming recycle. Lol it's more of an upcycle, as I am starting with 25 gallons of used living soil, and finishing with 42 gallons. I harvested a few plant so my budget got a lil' loose, next thing I know I've got amendments all over the damn place.

I'd actually like to grow this 1 out too. Looks like a beautiful plant. I've been trying to mix in my freebies too. It would be a shame to loose out on those great genetics.

How was that U-pink? did you like growing it? I love your avatar, that pink kinda adds a pinch of class. Like a pink dress shirt. "a manly pink dress shirt" lol Talk to you later bud. :smoking:

I'd be interested in how you upsize. I'll probably want to do this after my summer grow. I think I have enough ammendments but will need to get something to bulk it up.

The U-Pink was a fun grow. It surprised my several times. First the pink is only on the 1/4 top of the plant indoors and will pink up better out side. This was my 3rd time growing it and first time indoors. The smell kept changing on me and just got better and better it was like the willy wanka of weed. Every time the smell changed it did not smell like the same plant. Every stage was awesome. Near harvest the plant turned some cool shades of purple. I crossed it with a purple auto strain of mine so I can crate an auto version of it.

My plant has pre flowers already and it is only on node 3. What a fast little guy. I started the cheese XXL today, got my tent so I have to set that up and as soon as cheese shows pre flower I will start the supersonic. After that I am unsure.

So although the color messes things up the plant looks great. I thought the nitrogen was going to be too high and for the first week it was a little high but now it is perfect. The shade of green is perfect with no signs of nitrogen toxic or deficient in anything. The color is exactly what I look for in a plant. Going very good. I need a table in my tent because I have to put everything on buckets to get them close enough to the light. So as of now 1/2 of the #1 nursery pot full of manure and 1/4 cup of lime in the roots is working amazing. Will see how other strains do in this and might keep the base soil at this recipe if other plants like it. As for other plants that are sensitive to nitrogen like my purple kush I might veg them using half this mix in the bottom and regular happy frog soil in the top.

My first grow was 4 random bag seeds, and 1 had pink hairs. Not as vibrant as the Upink, but man I though it was beautiful. It also was just the top 1/4 of her.

She lookd good bud, nice structure to her. I hate taking pics under the hps sometimes, but man it really makes trichs pop out. Lol almost like how forensic guys use different color filters to find different substances. Talk to you later bud! :smoking:
