Hi all—
Complete noob here – this post starts my grow journal
Ministry of Cannabis White Widow
Growing Experience: ABSOLUTELY NONE!
Grow space: Converted wine cabinet. Description here: https://www.autoflower.org/f5/conv-wine-cabinet-different-approach-31922.html
Soil: 40%
Ocean Forest,40%
Happy Frog, 20% Perlite
Pots: Two 3 gallon
Soil Prep: Soaked and put in cabinet for 48 hours
Seed Prep: Seed casings roughed up in Altoids tin with 120 grit sandpaper. Gentle shaking for 30 seconds.
Seeds floated in spring water w/o light. Both seeds sank in 24 hours
Planting: Top two inches of soil was stirred up with finger, directly planted seeds in soil ¼” deep, pointy end of seed down.
Germination: One seed broke soil in 72 hours, the other in 96 hours (Not expected this soon, who knows why)
Watering: After sprouting, spray bottle water only 3-4X daily. First full water on Day 6. Continue to bottle spray as needed, typically twice a day
Lighting: Initially, two CFL 23 watts over each plant (5000K) at 5 inches
Temperature: 78F
Lighting: After first “real” leaf set appeared, additional 23 w added over each. These were 6000k.
Next day, lights were lowered to 4”.
Two days later, added another 23W 6000k above each plant, total 92 watts per plant, 184 watt total.
Next day, lights lowered to 3”
Today, Day 8 and 9 , lights lowered to 2 1/2” above plants. From this point forward, this is Day 9 for both.
Temp. range thru Day 8: 75-81 degrees F
Humidity Range: 25%-40 (Too low, but not terribly concerned at present.) Trying to raise a bit with soaked dishtowels at cabinet base.
Planned: LST (Will need LOTS of help)
Trio (diluted) no sooner than Day 21, I am aware that
OF is a hot soil
Switch to 2700 at preflower. Swap 4 23W for 46W. Total 276 watts in cabinet .
Approach: (This is bound to change)
1. Patience, Patience, Patience!
2. Listen to the plants
3. First do no harm
4. Corrective actions: Less is better except in critical situations
5. Don’t obsess!
6. It isn’t a contest – the yield will be what it will be
7. Learn and enjoy the ride
Folks, I am a first time grower. I know extremely little about growing and will need a great deal of assistance.
I appreciate the warm welcome I’ve recently received and wish to thank you in advance for your help.
Best regards-
T.
