Does this set up use a constant very slow drip or is it timed. If it is timed what sort of timer do you use and is it important to have seconds intervals or is it ok to use mintute intervals?
It's timed bro, but it flows like a gentle stream instead of dripping. It's going to power on for 2 minute intervals. You could get a timer that was able to power on for seconds, but those are considerably more expensive. Mine has a minimum of 1 minute 'on' time. This is the one:

I am also wondering if the coco is to be keep perpetually wet what ratio of perlite to coco will you use, my autopot recommends 50/50 mix, just wondering if it will be something like that?
Yeah bro I use a ratio of about 70/30 coco to perlite. For the first couple of weeks, dry cycles are VERY important. That's why you need a root stimulator and a small pot, so that it dries up faster and makes more roots, faster. After that, you can throw as much water as you want at em and they'll take it all!!
One more question if you don't mind, as the water from the drip ring sinks through the coco wont that draw more air down?
Yeah it' will draw more air into the coco, but that's a good thing. We need as much o2 as possible to keep the root mass healthy. Being as this system produces huge globs of roots, things can take a bad turn of you don't have enough oxygen.
It is also possible to use the air pump to pump the water up and oxgenate it at the same time as with "Water/Aqua farm".
I only wonder this because the root won't ever be in the water like DWC (or will they?) If they don't, I would rather have a nute
mixing pump air water pump as mentioned above. Just wondering what your thoughts were?
Yeah the root ball will stay in the pot with the coco. My reservoir has one airstone/pump to keep the nutes and water fresh, and another submersible pump that delivers the feed to the pots. Two different pumps tho... not sure if there's an all-in-one pump that will both oxygenate and pump out feed.
Glad to be of help bro, if you have any more questions bro holla at me any time.
