Using MC, CMP, SW and BE with Drip Clean and PH'd down a bit. I mixed up 4 gallons using a pretty powerful hand blender I keep with my gear for mixing. I left it for a day and mixed it up a few times. Then dumped in the res. I am noticing sediment settling at the bottom.

I think there is a different devices you can put in a res that will help keep things mixed up. Right now I have airstones only. The blow bubbles. and I guess there is some circulation from them too. Is this good to use? Or do I need to get some other device instead?

Can you get the water warmer before mixing?

just got mine and did a test batch.. 0,5 liters of hot tap water, dumped 1ml of mc in there, stirred and added another 0,5 ltrs of cold water, stir.. no residue, nada..

That sounds doable. Mix up the powder in a container of hot water then add it to the colder water. I even have a single burner out in my garage that I could use to heat up water in a pot. Cheers.

I’m using just the MC by itself and when mixed with cold unchlorinated tap water it disappears. In addition, i did not use a mixer/blender just put in a jug and shook. No residue, just a tint to the water, so it must be one of those addons. I also mix .5g with a liter of water for my seedlings and stirred it with a spoon which full mixed in. That’s done in a 2 liter cup and I can watch the MC dissolve completely.

I have used large air stones and a small water pump to stir things up in the reservoir and with either you might see your pH rise. With either device, using my water and nutes, I was adding pH down daily until I stopped using them. With the water pump, you may also see the temperature of your reservoir go up also. Can’t run a motor underwater and not expect a temperature rise.

Now I just stirred the reservoir up every night when checking levels and have not had any problems doing it this way using AN, Technaflora, or MC nutrients. YRMV.

I am hoping to avoid rising pH so I'll go with the hot water mix and that should work. I crave stable pH for sure.

And a stir once a day would be advisable too. I usually just shake the res.

How warm / hot are you folks making your water before you mix it. If any of their products have beneficials in them a water temp over 115 will most likely destroy those. Would love to hear @Greenleaf Nutrients chime in on this one. I’m only using the MC by itself but it mixes fine with cold or room temperature water for me.

About there abouts(100-115).. not hot enough to burn you, but getting there

yes, this is how it should work! We spend quite a bit of time on the design part so it would be soluble even in cold water as quick as possible. So no need to run hot water, just dump and stir. Wait for everything to dissolve before you pH check.

I made up 5 gallons yesterday of Mega Crop, calmag pro, sweet candy and bud explosion using the recommended amounts. I started with a half gallon of very hot water that I mixed with a powerful hand blender then I added to cold water to make 5 gallons. I put a gallon aside in a small bucket and let it set for half a day. Had a look today and there is a dark brown fine sediment on the bottom of the bucket. Not sure what it is. I dont think it's a bad thing in that it should not clog my irrigation lines because its so fine. And I stir the reservoirs daily so the solution should be relatively consistent. But there will be days I'm away so it will settle. I might need to get something to put in my res that will mix it up but not increase the PH if I can.
