hmmm yeah ive done the whole 20+ years of horticultural work in nurseries tree frams and anything you can think of on that plain.Im gonna have to politely disagree. your talking about biomechanics and activity in controlled climates and going through warmer climates n the like.soil behavior is far different for canna with autos than it is within the outdoor realms of trying to grow seagrapes in alkaline soils..

I use a simple sterile quality peat for young plants and when they grow bigger transplant them into a pot of soil as described by Eyes on Fire just to be on the safest side. This soil needs just water as it has natural nutes and when they flower you can give bonus canna treats and fines sprays to spoil them if you like.

Kelp4less.com Has The largest selection ive ever seen !

id love to have the cash to slap together a hundred dollar US order or there abouts with free shipping you could nab a seriously serious(assuming they are decent quality?) nice grow package for organics for teas and soils alike.and make your or starter phase feeding and everything lmfao ive looked a lot at that place.juust a few days ago and putting together pretend wishlist lol nice selection hands down.

Ok sleep is evading me fucking adhd so let me get this right

A bag of Dr earth's pot of gold
16 qt perlite
Lime
Kelp meal
Alfalfa meal

This will be a pretty good mix when cooked for 3 weeks ish?

What about fish bone meal or just fish meal and blood meal

I guess what I'm trying to figure out it is seems it's not so much about npk but more about what stuff you have growing in your dirt? So how do you know what is growing in your dirt that'll be good for you and how do you know when you have enough nutrition for the plant?

Or am I just chasing my tail here? Lol this indoor controlled environment living organics is confusing the hell out of me but I'll get it eventually

nope, your not man. what your going to be using is a simple bagged mix with a few amendments is all.add a lil bit of that Life and ill say your good. and that will cover it.use decent water if you have it with light feeds. an maybe some molasses, epsom n basics like that n that should start you off well imo. Ive grown in many of soils like that with soup feeds and organic trace heavy feeds like you using.they work well.

so yeah this and add some of that Life we talked about too.

A bag of Dr earth's pot of gold
16 qt perlite
Lime
Kelp meal
Alfalfa meal

no cloramines OR chlorine in your feeds.chlorine as ya may already know can evaporate, chloramine does not anywhere as easily. happy growing.

IF you wanna get bone meals or Fish n bone thats fine.I personally prefer separate components since its easier to control imo.but fish n bone works well.

Alright I got my dr earths dirt and the 16 qt of perlite

they were pulling all the amendments off the shelf when I got to ace and all they had left was fish meal cotton seed meal and kelp meal I got these and they had one bag of hydrated lime left

I'm hoping this will be a good start I am still on the look out for alfalfa meal

I've been lurking and soaking up all this great organic info .... :peace:
