Let me say in decided to germinate in my growing medium to avoid transplant shock. That being said, how often should I water the plugs or rather how long do they stay moist after watering. About how much water to pour? I was thinking like a half cup each time?

Ps
If I were able to legally grow more than 12 plants I would use a control to see what happens but I'm applying root gel to the root plugs and the water I water it with

Presuming you are putting the plugs in their final medium/pot, as long as the plug and surrounding media stay well-moistened, that's all that's needed. The plugs will stay moist enough if planted in moist medium.

I've even put plugs with seeds in full-strength nutes pre-charged coco/perlite (85%/15%) 5 gallon pots and not watered for 2-4 weeks.
