So I'm on day 58 going for 70 then chopping her.

Do i really need to use 15 gallons of water? Because that's a ton of water and sounds like an expensive water bill.

How often do I water using "15" gallons (however much I decide on)

And how soon before harvesting do I stop flushing or watering?

Do I still water the plant and use molasses till the end? Or just flush with molasses in the water?

Mollasses is great stuff but I usually just flush with straight water the last 10-12 days of life. I like to take my pots to the bathroom and sit em in the tub then pour water into em till I see it flowing out the bottom nice and clear. Your asking a great question as most dont flush properly and end up with some harsh, dark ashed, hard to stay lite and just not the best burnin/tastin nugg's that they could have if flushed long enough. Dont worry about the yellow leafs that come on fast you are taking all of the nutes out and they yellow pretty fast from it.. Good luck K.I.M.

The final flush is to break down all the built up salts and solids. Stuff you really dont want to smoke. This is also when the buds really swell. What are you planted in?

Hey friend. There are two different types of 'flushing'. A while back we started calling one of them 'cleansing' instead of flushing.
Flushing is when you have excessive nute buildup or extreme ph issues in your soil. That is when you water with 3x the amount of your container.

What you're wanting to do at this point in the end of your grow is better deemed 'cleansing'. With this you are just simply watering as normal, but with just PLAIN ph'd water, no nutes, no molasses. With chemical nutes you want at least 10 days of plain water feeds. With organics, you don't need as long, but it's still a good idea.

:welcome:Well i'll be dammed the Squidy's back.Good to see ya again and hope every thing is going good for you.:jump:

Molasses is primarily to feed the microorganisms in your soil to get them more active and increase the nutes available to your plant. If you're flushing for harvest, there's no need to feed anything in the soil because ideally you want the plants to using the nutrients it has stored in its leaves those final weeks.

I really like the term cleansing as well ... better description of what you're trying to do.

So I just watered in the bath tub till i seen clear water. Took about 2 gallons, btw I'm growing in a 5 gallon bucket.

That's exactly what I would have done. Are you planning on putting up any pictures of harvest day?

Yes I will! Maybe some more after it's done curing! Check back on 4/20 just go to my profile and check out my grow journal :) smells pretty dank.
