hi everyone thought I would try and start a proper journal this is my first ever attempt.

My rig consists of 1 x 1 x 1.8 meter budbox

Tower fan (hung instead of standing)

4" fan and rhino carbon filter

2 x mars hydro 300w

47ltr 2 pot autopot with air domes

clay pebbles covering the domes and then a mix of biobizz light soil and perlite to a ratio of 50/50 with the autopots in mind. The clay came with a ph of 8 I cleaned then soaked them for 3 days in tap water (ph7.4) changing it on the second day then ph 6 the water and leaving them to soak again getting the pebbles to have a ph just lower than 7

seeds are from herbies .... Heavyweight fruit punch autos ... they arrived with no hassle and quickly too.

the 300w mars hydro also arrived with no problems ordered one then another a couple of days later ;)

I put my seeds into riot cubes following Ronins way but as soon as they started showing signs I immediately put them into there final 15l autopots on the 23rd of this month. On transplanting I did what most newbs do and added a little too much water :D I also accidentally remove one of the first two leaves off one of the seedlings trying to help it break free as I used my silly fingers.

I set the Mars Hydro LED to around 24" and left it there for 3 days .

on the 26th I decided to lower the Led to around 20" when doing this I also mixed a bit of fish mix and fed them 150ml each (i know its early) ..... but they loved it almost doubled in size overnight .

today I added my second LED so they are now have there own twinkly little stars :D I am currently running them 24/0 temps within the room are 20 -30 c at all times. Also currently hand feeding before I switch to auto in about two week just giving the roots a little time.

I will update in a few days with good or bad news hahaha .... thanks for all the brilliant info around the site.

Thanks for starting your journal.Just be honest about your grow good or bad and if you need help just ask.If you see you have a problem starting with your plants ask for help right away rather than wait until it's to late to correct the problem.Good luckon your adventure and remember theres always help here if you need it no matter how small it may be.:welcome::karmacloud:

Hey Lanky Sime, I'm along for the ride as well. I hope to learn something myself. In fourth quarter of my first (real) grow........:baked:

Check out link below to see my first grow journal, and any others you can. This will help avoid hurdles me and other first timers ran into......:deadhorse:

GOOD LUCK BROTHER!!!...........:bump:

I would not do it any other way no point lying while your plants are dying. :D No one is perfect and we all learn from our mistakes and I will be more than happy to share the misadventure's just as much as the positives it is not just the seedlings that are growing.I still have a handful of brain cells that need to expand somewhere... I THINK :dizzy:

just got back from work and checked in on the girls and noticed a little spec on one of the left hand leaves ... I did switch on the second led last night any ideas or input

Hit google for a "cannabis leaf diagnosis chart image." There are a handful of good ones to choose from. This will help when discussing with the veterans.

Just my 2 cents but I wouldn't worry at all. I've seen many a spots just like that and they all went on to be big bushy plants. Your plant at it's seedling stage will never be more sensitive than it is now. Some suggestions for you friend - cut a 1 liter bottle or find a proper tupper-ware large enough to cover your plant. It's creates a nice moist environment and prevents early mistakes like over watering or too much light, etc. Make sure they're not getting too much wind or too hot, and hang tight.
Something like 75 degrees F and 70-80% RH is a nice target range for temp and Rh for a seedling . Sometimes these ladies have a hard time shedding their seed husk and the membrane within can get stuck (encasing the cotleydons) that can cause unsightly deformities and marks - and even death if stuck and not removed manually.
As an after thought, sometimes beads of water on a leaf can act as a magnifying lens of sorts - which can result in little "burn" spots. Sorry for rambling, but I love this stuff.

Thanks Xxxauto.....

today I found out I have not set the airdomes up correctly by adding too many clay pebbles note you only cover the airdomes around two thirds
