Lighting LED for side lighting

Howdy..Got a question and I'm sure it will lead to more.

But for now...I'm running 4foot 8 bulb main light system putting out about 40,000 lums in a 4x4 tent...I have some 14 watt LED's and hung them for side/lower lighting..Are they benifical working in that manner?
