I'm getting worried my seed collection has went stale I tried germinating four sour cracks and none sprouted a tap root so just for reassurance I just dropped some 24 carat and auto blues in a cup of water as a germ test I pray they're not all old! I have well over 200 mephisto seeds so that would suck if they're all "expired". These ones are from the Black Friday sale so not to old but not fresh. I guess I'll know in a couple days with the germ test subjects. I'm hoping it's just a bad batch of sour cracks lol

Hey Legend, that would be a real drag. I read somewhere that if you are having trouble germinating older seeds, you can try leaving the seeds in a plastic bag with a banana peel for a few days. Evidently the Ethylene gas being expelled from the banana peel encourages germination. This method is also said to produce more female seeds if you are using an unfeminized run. I'll see if I can't find the article or thread I read it on for you...

"banana peel method - O.K Before you germinate your seeds, place your seeds in a sealed plastic bag containing banana peels for 14 days. Wrap the banana skins in tissue to absorb any moisture they give off. Keep the bag in a warm place & air the seeds regularly, replacing the skins as they ripen. Ethylene, a naturally occuring gas given off by the ripening bananas not only increases germination, but also feminizes your seeds....
yes, it's true.

just my experience here. ga3 is the best shot at germinating old stock. tried many different ways, many different times and this is what works for me. if i want to feminize a seed and increase germination, use banana peels. 100% success rate there...

Thanks for that. Yeah it definatley would suck haha I think it's just a bad batch of sour crack seeds bough because I've germinated year old seeds before win no problem. I'll known in a couple days with the other seeds I threw in there

Azamax did the trick for me to get those pest lol.. took a bit more then a week but they were most definitely gone

Yeah the sm-90 got rid of those shitheads lol I see one every now and then but they haven't multiplied they just die off

Well it seems as though it was just a bad batch of sour cracks. The auto blues and 24 carat that I ordered at the same time both sprouted a tap root within 12 hours of dropping them in the water so that's good that my seeds aren't all bad lol anyway here's some grape crinkle
