That's actually not as bad as you think. Especially if you're charging fair food prices! That's easily a 20% markup from regular prices to cover the cost. You'd have to do Neapolitain(ish) pizzas that cook in 60-90 seconds to keep up if you were in a mobile setup. Or some of those places have permanent setup. Throw in a PizzaMaster 944 and crank out 18-20" pizzas and sell slices and whole pies. You can fit 24 pizzas in that oven! It's only 65K for the oven! $8-9 a slice, you'd actually do pretty good
20% markup my ass! Fletchers corndogs were like $12 each so i was only able to take 3 home in a ziploc baggy in my pocket!:crying:

They are the best corn dogs i have ever had tho! They stab a stick thru the wiener and dip in the batter and then toss into fryer so they are super duper fresh and definitely larger than the average corny doggy!

They put people like me in jail in Texas….

I've been making them like this. Definitely not Jamaican. But tasty. Good spice shop
good Jerk needs the Allspice wood to smoke it with.

Am looking at starting an upscale (artisan) pizza/charcuterie catering company. Loads of opportunity here as no one is doing it, especially on a higher level. Loads of wedding venues, wineries, corporate, craft services for movies etc...Figure once I/we got up and rolling, could have 3--4 crews going out for weekend events and other events during the week. Could easily pull $150-200K a year and not be a slave to a brick and mortar establishment. which as you know is a 24/7 commitment

Not sure if I wanna make the commitment as it's a lot of work added to my existing furniture business. Could easily double that business, but haven't wanted to work that much.

Could also just do pop ups whenever I want, which is what I'm kinda leaning towards

You got the palette and appreciation for good food that would make it a success.....:wizzy:...and you are right...van no premises...then you can pick how often you work it....

The high street as we used to appreciate it died with COVID...bars.. restaurants and shops are going bust left right and centre in Europe...... people want to stay in and have stuff brought in for them.... catering vans are the way forward....

Or get high and eat all your supply!

:crying: I did think it might be like an alcoholic buying a bar....but Think of all the food you will get to Try before you stock it......:pighug:

Especially while you are flying around Europe contacting suppliers...cough..cough...could be classed as a business expense......:eyebrows:
