I settled on the following technique…

I let the buds over dry, like, crispy.

Then, over a good size rolling tray with decent sides on it, I put the buds between my hands and rubbed them together, seeds, and plant material falling onto the tray…

Last, I push all material on the tray to one side, tilt it at about a 30 degree angle and start bouncing it up and down like I’m panning for gold….the heavy seeds will begin to make their way to the lower side…. And you just keep pushing plant material to the high side and reworking it until there’s no seeds left. Work in batches.

Works like a charm

Good morning my friend :pass:
YUP! Daz da way I did it.

I did take it further with separating the non-viable seeds with static electricity and gold panning tech in a BIG grow tray. The tray is made of a harder plastic, so static is easier to build up. The tray is also smooth except for small raised lines.

Hold the tray at a slight angle, rub the bottom with a microfiber towel. the lighter non-viable seeds will dance first and slight shaking will make the viable seeds tend to be at the bottom of the tilted tray. The bad seeds will group together in the center and can be easily removed by forefinger and thumb or just pressing your finger tip on to them.

Tray for 20gal pots

Where you are located should be very viable for solar.
For me personally, that would be one of my priorities if moved there.

It’s more expensive in some countries…

I say a good alternative for moderate periods of electrical outages would be one of those rechargeable battery packs…like this

It would run most things except ac…

@Frankthetank
I had to do something different with many seeds as I had to work with! :face: :crying: :crying: :crying:

Rubbing the bud between your hands sure made some great Charas!:pass:
I feel your pain…. Had three fully seeded bloodstones that I had to process…. Before I figured that out it was rather slow going   :pass:

It was '73 when Dad got our first color TV. He didn't skimp on it either! He bought a Curtis Mathis home entertainment center! Along with the beautiful color TV, It had a record player and 8 track on one side and then a FM/AM receiver on the other. It was 6 or 7ft long! I think it was just under $800. LOT of $$$ for 73!
Mom was STILL using it in 89! It was still working fine, but it was degraded. She wanted to keep the entertainment center, so she made me find a CRT that would fit!:face::funny::funny:

When I moved her out to my farm, she wanted to bring it out there, but I put my foot down. I bought her her first flat screen and tied it in with an audio system. She was in pure heaven! She could see everything very clearly and also hear.
