It was '73 when Dad got our first color TV. He didn't skimp on it either! He bought a Curtis Mathis home entertainment center! Along with the beautiful color TV, It had a record player and 8 track on one side and then a FM/AM receiver on the other. It was 6 or 7ft long! I think it was just under $800. LOT of $$$ for 73!
Mom was STILL using it in 89! It was still working fine, but it was degraded. She wanted to keep the entertainment center, so she made me find a CRT that would fit!:face::funny::funny:

When I moved her out to my farm, she wanted to bring it out there, but I put my foot down. I bought her her first flat screen and tied it in with an audio system. She was in pure heaven! She could see everything very clearly and also hear.

our first color tv was the good ol' 19" RCA XL100....a very popular tv in thoze dayz & milez above our old b&w....needless to say, the RCA was solid state, and thus fired right up, but our old b&w was an old console Zenith tube job, and well, need i say more-?  ppp

I feel your pain…. Had three fully seeded bloodstones that I had to process…. Before I figured that out it was rather slow going   :pass:
Yeah, I started out picking the Viable seeds from the bud and quickly realized this is going to take a million years !
I might do small branch pollinations, but that would be only for crosses that I want to experiment with. But like with my Bloodstone and Asian Haze duplication runs, Go big is what I'll do. More seeds is always better and most important, I can FREELY share.

Speaking of sharing.............What's going on with the monthly prize thingamajiggy we were having and I donated a BUNCH of seeds? Am I just missing it or we haven't got it going fully yet?

This includes the less educated as well

Do you remember the vacuum tube testers at the store? I remember taking vacuum tubes to the Safeway grocery store to test them and get replacements for an old black and white TV.
