In the days of running marathons............ Or some stupid hump........ I would love to have the opportunity to go somewhere like that and carbed up!
When I was still at home, there was no such thing as a decent Italian pasta sauce, there was only Ragu!

Is that how you spell it

Good old mom did nothing but boiled spaghetti and heat sauce.

So I announced that I would cook Spaghetti night. I had gone to the Public Library, in my case it was a Carnegie branch, and researched various recipes for spaghetti pasta and copied them by hand on my notebook paper, spiraled bound

I bought, wif muh lawn mowing muny, the ingredients between three grocery stores in town, Piggly Wiggly, Safeway and Brookshire's.
Spaghetti night was Friday night and there was no school that day..........part of my plan

Most of my ingredients were fresh, I was very lucky with that. Safeway had began to go a little upscale, so to speak.
I started as soon as Mom and Pop left for work! I soon had a big mess! I hadn't been very good at cleaning up as I go! After I did my little cleanup, I made my own meatballs!

Well, it was an absolute success! My Pop raved and ate seconds!

I found that quite amusing, because Pop had never raved to that extent on something that Mom had prepared.

Mom................. I could tell she loved it!

...............................but we'll just leave it.......rat 'dere!
