I am only going to use the thing for making food. My big concern are the wattage ratings. Most similar devices have the same rating (1,800w), and that sounds excessive for a 120v/15a circuit.

Interestingly enough, I am going to have to get a stand-alone decarb device - its not remotely safe to use the oven for that anymore here.
Have you considered a Souse Vide? Almost no smell or mess, and its easy to store. Decarb then infuse in the same disposeable bag (or jar, not as good)

Sous Vide immersion cooker $100
Vacuum Sealer and bags $60
A big pot of water you probably have already

They don't get as hot so decarb takes longer but set it forget it. It doesn’t need a lot of babysitting.

Had a pretty good appointment today. Surgeon said I was doing great and just keep doing what I'm doing. I had an appointment with the eye specialist too. I have to go back to him in April to discuss cataract surgery. Can't win for losing.......fix one thing and everything else falls apart. Retirement rocks but aging sucks!! Best be thankful for what we've got left..........Sharing one...ppp.... :pass:

If smell is an issue can do @Mañ'O'Green method and infuse first and then decarb the oil itself!
