That's too much work! If your tap water is no good an RO system would pay for itself pretty quick.
I’m on a well and have extremely high iron plus the water softener uses sodium “circled”. RO filters would get loaded too fast even after running through my filters.

I’d have to tie into this system in the garage to do RO since my wife would put a poo poo in the house.
I use 65 gallon bags for can and bottle storage. Each one is 50 bucks on the return and I usually amass 6 per year. I buy seeds with the proceeds plus my girls appreciate it. :jointman:

Gallons are actually more expensive. Also, I don't have to pay a 10 cent deposit on each bottle when purchased in Washington. I return them in Oregon making the cost of the water 19 cents for 5 gallons. :coffee:

You live in a wet place….do you know of any natural springs around where people gather water? I did that in Maine for a while and it was awesome after being passed through a sediment filter…

They just replaced the water main on my street with a massive black plastic pipe that came in a huge roll :doh: :doh: :doh: :doh: :doh:


That's probably because the lead pipes were killing us...next 10 year scare... micro plastics....:biggrin:
