We learned puddle management for tig using a braising tip on an oxy acetylene torch, and just ran puddles across a sheet of copper…eventually adding filler material. The skill translates perfectly, and you learn the basics of braising at the same time.

I know how to braise but I not gonna say I can or am any good only done it one time. I learned TIG just fusing open corners with SS. You are correct all techniques cross over to one another some just require more ambidextrousness :haha::doh:

No idea how i didn’t notice til i saw it on the screenshot in my post but freaking wind gusts up to damn near 50mph! :yoinks::nono::rofl:
 
Shit. Jamaica. Melissa is now heading for Cuba but has been downgraded from 5 to 3 to my understanding.
I’m in texas so prob where todays crazy wind came from! I don’t mind the temps but not running orders in 50mph winds! Strong enough to tear someone’s paper bag with food in it in half!
