We learned puddle management for tig using a braising tip on an oxy acetylene torch, and just ran puddles across a sheet of copper…eventually adding filler material. The skill translates perfectly, and you learn the basics of braising at the same time.
I know how to braise but I not gonna say I can or am any good only done it one time. I learned TIG just fusing open corners with SS. You are correct all techniques cross over to one another some just require more ambidextrousness
