New Grower Lollipoping Autoflowers?? Advice please

If the leaves are dying and yellowing and you are still flowering you can remove those leaves without causing any harm to the plant.
Since they are dying they are no longer using the light to feed the plant so can be safely removed.

The girl i posted above has leaves that are starting to yellow and die off but that is what you want at the end of an autos life.
It is the sign that she is ready to harvest!

For some extra info have a read here:

Thanks Lazylathe  been really fighting back pulling the leaves as they are clearly dying and you really helped me out there!! And thanks for the thread there by Muddy, great read. . It's my first grow and I didn't do a journal cause the computer was f'd for a few weeks. I will do a full journal next time around :D. . I have pictures up somewhere in the New Growers Forum when they were 4 weeks from soil. . The yellowing wasn't half as bad then as it is now. . Camera's broken now (one thing after another) but I will try get pics up soon. New camera on the way :booya:

Thanks again dude, appreciate the help

Peace:peace:

P.S that girl of yours is beautiful lookin

I wait untill preflower has started then i remove all the small bud sites and fan leaves from the bottom a few inch up and i notice a massive differance in bud size at the tops:smokebuds:

Hi POD I would not recommend trimming autos they do not normally get big enough to warrant it (3-4ft +). With a photo strain its a different story as the plants can get so big lower sites don't get enough light also they have the added advantage of controllable veg time so trimming is done before flower to prevent stunting plants then flipped. Also worth noting leafs are little factory's stored with energy and nutrient so cutting them off removes this valuable resource.

However if your are going to trim don't do it in one day spread it out this will limit stress on the plant and blueberry dont react well to stress.
Some time trimming has to be done to prevent mold but dont be fooled that trimming will increase your yield as leafs dont rob anything from the plant.
Also make sure the leafs trimmed don't let light through your canopy as light hitting the floor is a waste

what breeder is your blueberry

I do exact same thing and zip tie fan leafs .... Get GREAT results!!!

Thanks for the advice Don  i avoided trimming anything in the end and just left them to do their thing on the Shot Adrenaline. . . . Leaves are still slowly dying on my Blueberry, (Dutch Passion by the way Don :D) so i've slowly started taking leaves off but ONLY the ones that need the slighest touch to come apart from the ladies. . Spaced over a few days and they're doing great. I'm learning day by day guys, appreciate it

Thanks dude's

Peace:peace:

sounds good to me i might be getting some of those soon as well let me know your thoughts

:thread::pop:very interesting thread .... im into my 1st grow ever with a Blue mammoth in DWC & it's going much better than i expected! .I only have a 5' x 3' x 2' cab & she wouldn't stop stretching ,so i had no choice but to do something as my LED was as high as it could go & the tops where way to close ... So i tied down about 10 of the closes-ed branches & trimmed all the lower ones. This was about day 45-50+ of an estimated 100 day strain ( one i think is a bit special !)... I was not gentle ! .. got a bit carried away & should have taken 2 or 3 days really ... within a day i noticed all the bud sites had turned back up ect ,like she hardly noticed ... & this was at the end of stretch .It's also opened up her super dense canopy to lower bud sites & these are packing on weight as well now.

All in all im very pleased with how it went & im a proper noob !. .

Thats why this thread caught my eye !. I think i would have worked even better if i started earlier, & id defo do it again if i thought the strain could handle it ( theses BM's are super tough...or Auto mazar ,Think different) & required it due to height or a thick canopy ,maximize small space ect.

I guess i may even be off topic here & others may think iv'e done more LST than lollypopping ?.All new to me so subbed & hope to learn a bit more about it I'll throw up a pic later maybe see what you think !
