Long room question

So my lung room has a constant temperature of 74* and a RH of 25%. I had purchased the 5L Mars humidifier that is a cool mist type. I have used the Y splitter to have one tube inside the tent and the other outside where it can be sucked in went exhaust fan kicks on. Problem is my humidity drops down to 30’s. I can see the outside humidity being drawn in as exhaust fan is running but it doesn’t keep things stable. VPD goes from 1.0-.9 to 2.0
This leads me to think I need another humidifier for the lung room. Also makes me think the cool mist doesn’t put out enough humidity. If I get another humidifier. I’m thinking of a normal old school steam one.
Would cool mist inside the tent and room temperature steam conflict with each other in the tent when the exhaust fan is running?

Are you simply exhausting too much? Is your exhaust controlled by a thermostat, comes on when needed, when temp. goes up; or does it run continuously?

Cool and warm mist humidifiers result in much the same amount of water vaporized or humidity increase per amount of water run through them. The warm mist type humidifiers will add heat, which could be a problem if inside the tent; or could be desirable, with 74 degrees somewhat below optimal. And unless you clean/maintain the warm mist humidifier or fill it with RO or distilled water, you'll have problems with mineral crud buildup limiting the efficiency and life of the unit; while with the cool mist units you'll get mineral dust in the air.

Perhaps try not exhausting at all, see what happens, such as just leave the tent flaps open. If the tent and lung room temp. go up but keep below say 80˚F you'll be at a more optimal growing temp.

Consider correcting the spelling of "Lung" in the title.

I keep the humidifier in the tent and let an inkbird controller monitor and adjust the RH as needed.

Just cause of how my space is setup I have a dehumidifier in the room where the tent is that keeps things at 50% or less. Which works great for drying and towards the end of flower when you want the low RH in the tent.

What kind of exhaust fan are you using? Does it have a controller or does it just run all the time?
