Grow Mediums Lucas Formula

I decided to make this thread for people to post up pictures of plants they've grown using the Lucas formula, as well to share any tips and alterations you have done to it to suit growing autos.

This way everyone can learn something and newbies have a simple way of getting into hydro.

I myself use Advanced Nutrients and will be trying the lucas formula with them, since I have not tried it yet, I'll post results when I start.

Hey Doc, I have a quick question. The Lucas formula is using 8ml micro, and 16ml of bloom through the entire grow. I was under the impression that autos generally can't handle full strength schedules. So how do you use the lucas formula without burning up the plants?

You just use the same ratio of 1:2 Micro/Bloom and keep your EC, or PPM's low.

Although, The Lucas Formula was meant to be used with RO water in order for the PH to be perfect.
If you add 8-16ml's Micro/Bloom to a gallon of RO water the ph should be perfect. I'm not sure what "perfect" is whether it's for hydro, or soil.

So, keep in mind that you'll still need to monitor PH when growing auto's with The Lucas Formula.

Hmmm, may have to give that a shoot. Right now I'm using the useless method on both my photos and autos. The autos have really been through hell with me trying to figure out the right schedule for them. Thanx for the quick response Tav.

Yes just keep the strength low, if I remember right it was ph perfect for hydro, it also helps to have a calmag supplement handy

If you're using coco, its a little different schedule than dwc...I'm having great results with autos right now in party cups...I'll post more once I get in front of a computer (phone right now)

How about lucas formula using Flora Nova bloom all thru veg and bloom? n e one tried that? I will do my next grow hempy-style with 100% perlite only using FNB, with mi5.

Never tried it, and it just sound to friggin good.... almost to good to be true, just using one bottle the whole grow...

I'd be interested in seeing how it does, what I like about using the micro and bloom is you can alter the ratio though
