mag def, to hot?

Heyas. Im linking the thread where I put pics and sorry fir duplicate questions its the last set of pics on thread. I dont know if I have a def problem cause the clones if hers are on same rez and they arefine. it only gets about 80 in closet if that hot. A few of the big leaves show a mag def but not many and all the leaves on her are burnt on the end and curled upwards. Maybe its just feom burning her alittle before I went to flower? Ive been thinking of feeding her with a spray bottle and molasses but I dont know how much it will change the flavor. Nater'- My bet would be a bit of nute' burn,... problem with early symptoms is they can have some overlap between various possibilities,... I see A4 mentioned sensitivity in this strain... Mg defc. at this stage doesn't usually manifest with necrotic tips, just that interveinal yellowing, which I think I see some of,... again, there's that overlap thing again! :slaps: ...**(edit: bad phrasing--I meant the tip necrosis at the leaf end and serrations!)*--> K defc. can look like this too early on,... so, go ahead and treat for the Mg defc.,... do you have a dedicated Ca-Mg product? Or epsom salts? I hesitate with foliar sprays when in bloom, especially with something sugary like molasses, which can to the trick, but those sugars are fine food for potential mold! I have zero hydro skills, so maybe somebody else can chime in-- not sure what the input of sugars to the res' soln. may do with bad microbial populations.... meantime, watch for progression of symptoms, and if there is, it might show the specifics we need for diagnosis... hold off on foliar for the moment, okay? I strongly recommend something other than molasses in this situation....*** No worries bro', molasses will not affect flavor in the bud,...

Ive tried sugar in rez.....its bad lol. I havent had to deal with any defs yet like cal or mag. Figured my tapwater had it in it and I was lucky. I was going to use molasses cause I have it lol. Thing is we are on a strict budget and I have no extra money for 2 weeks so im gonna have to diy supplements. I can pick up some epson salts and make some calcium out of egg shells and vinegar. Its just weird that her clones arent showing anything. So ill start with epson salts tomorrow

Natertots do you check your EC I see you mention PH reading but no EC.

I would also agree with waira an put it down to nute burn, one of the reasons to measure EC is to check what strength your nutes are.

Mag def is all too common but the interveinal lightening as Waira has also pointed out could be due a lock out, but if ph is ok that only leaves a too high EC/ salt build up.

Flowering is only just started and I would foliar epsome salts as there is no worries of bud rot yet, totally agree no to spray with molasses.

Epsome salts 1 level tablespoon per gallon/4.5 Liters of water, Mix epsome salts in a small container with warm water to dilute the crystal add to rez, check EC adjust to desired EC and Ph it.

If you decide to foliar feed, the Epsome salts should be added at 1/4 of a teaspoon to 1pt/600ml water, again mix with warm water to disolve an top up with cold water.
use a misting bottle to apply, best to do early in the light cycle and have plenty of air movement from a fan( oscillation is best to move it around).
It shouldn't take too long to dry, the mag in the epsome salt will be absorbed in to the leaves for the plant to use.

I followed you link but it was hard to see the whole picture as you did not mention what substrate your using or type of hydro your running.

It is not heat stress, If your were to have heat stress then the leaves would fold and look like a canoe sometimes also refered to as tacoing.

My ppms are at 1550. Been trying to keep them around 1600. Im in a rdwc with 3 15gallon totes. 1 rez, mother plant in another, and clones in last. Using maxibloom for nutes (hope thats what you ment by substrate. Its been 2 long but I think I remember that term from school lol. Im gonna have to google word when I leave but I think it means the the thing you add to something to get it to change chemically.) Thans guys!

..I don't see Ca defc. so far-- spotting on that typically is scattered, kinda like freckles..but not always! :slaps: And, it's no coincidence that Ca and Mg are so often paired together,... *** Again, these are a very early symptoms, and since Mg (unlike Ca) is mobile in the plant, it's getting pulled from older leaves to support the newer growth, which is what the clones are are,... Arty has made good suggestions,...

The leaf tips could be from over feeding but what I'm seeing on the edges looks like early signs of a K deficiency. Molasses provides calcium and too much calcium can inhibit the uptake of K, so I wouldn't recommend that you give it any molasses at this time.
