I am hoping for a rapid response to a magnesium deficiency in plants, what is the solution?... I understand that epsom salts could help as a foliar spray and if this is the case what is the ratio and how often should it be applied? I am also interested to know how fast this would take for the plant to recover? Thanks in advance all replies well appreciated.

i used 1/2 - 1 tbsp every two litres on my last grow and i gave them a light misting every day, and as for how long it would take, i think that would be down to how bad the deficiency is, hope this helps

I use Epsom salts in my feedings but you can use it for foliar feeding as well. I use 1 teaspoon per gallon. And as far as recovering it depends how bad you let it get. If the leaves are crispy they probably won't recover but if you caught it early on probably a few days to a week

Yes so about 1 teaspoon per 4 liters

Thanks a lot mainemedical, if the plants only have 10 days or so to go would you add the epsom salts to the water feed and continue on every water/feed and foliar spray too?

I probably wouldn't foliar feed if its that close to finishing. Do you have any pics you could post? It would be helpful to see what you're dealing with. If its that close to finishing it could just be another deficiency, which is common for autos at the end of their life cycle

If you insist on foiler feeding i would get a small paper towel or just get my fingerd wet with the solution and rub the botrom of the fan leaves. I would not.spray and avoid the buds them selves. Then i would feed with cal mag or add epsom salt to my water.

if there is only 10 days left you should be thinking of flushing, as mainemedical says don't foliar feed if they are in flowering

Actually i think they have a couple of weeks left and I will flush on the last week, but the other thing is that these are now 9 weeks old and I think they were held back a little with cold temps
