thanks bailer for the method. i tried it out last week with only like 4.5g of buds with a 20sec wash after the alchol evaporated i put the plate in the freezer then scraped it off plate. ended up looking like peanutbutter colored earwax. wasnt sure if i did it right but it was potent as shit had me taking afternoon naps again lol. only got one crappy cellphone pic of before i put it in freezer

HAHA good to hear it worked out for you. When i do it with good buds it's almost too potent. I've personally seen 2 people do the funky chicken from some of my batches. "whoops. Thought you were a stoner mate?! haha"

Did any flavor from the buds come through?

not the biggest flavor guru but i could pick up a kinda sweet sour taste on the exhale. it kinda surprised me cause i was expecting oil but it ended up more like earwaxy

Yeah, it was great. Mine was more clear than yours though. When I scraped it it was more of a blonde color. By the way Bailer, did you get my PM the other day?

Hey any recommendations on where I could get a gallon below $100.00? Most of the places start off low, but due to the nature of alcohol being a hazmat shipping is coming out to be more than the product. Most are averaging around $114 - $150 a gallon.

Addendum:
I found some cheap on healdirect.com it was close to $20.00 a gallon. with a $45.00 hazmat fee. So I did two came in at like $89.00 or so total.

I'm glad it worked out for you, How is the taste of the Hash?
I know that Iso Hash doesn't taste very well even when made with the best plant material, So I'm testing new ways to make the hash and oil taste good...
I know that I'm going to have to use vanilla or something, Vanilla would be great because most of the Vanilla flavorings are Alcohol based and that would blend in nicely with the hash...

No It tastes good, really good. I never had hash before, had some edibles out in CO but never hash.

Here is a pic of the ball next to some pressed keef in a SNUS container.
I used about 1/2 oz of sweet leaf only trim from Ipot and Kali Mist.



As you can see with 99% pure iso alcohol it came out clean and is not sticky at all, in fact it is hard as a rock, untill warmed.
I use an x-acto to cut a chunk off, and then just hover the lighter over whille I pull. If you are careful it will bubble but not catch fire. I think this makes it taste much better.
