Pass this on to Mars if they want to do something other than follow the crowd. You guys came close with the Mars Hydro COB Cree CXB3590 but you lost your nerve and just put some token blue and red in.
What no one is catering to is the market (that has realised that they were too hasty in thinking "blurple" is old tech), for a compact cob with red/blue control, in a single package at 200W. You need a 100W Cob and 50W of Red and 50W of Blue diodes mixed together surrounding the central cob including some UV mixed in. They should have controls allowing for individual dimming on all three channels. This would be absolutely killer, it would be equally good for a beginner or more experienced. Plus it would be a timeless classic.
Viparspectra are very responsive and would do a great job on this but they don't use cobs and Mars already make a Cob so you guys are better positioned to bring this to market. But someone will do this eventually.
It's a cutthroat market, the TS-2000 looks like an excellent light but there's nothing to differentiations it from other equally excellent lights using similar components. But I enjoy seeing opportunities that large business cannot see so here's one for free.
