I live in Oregon and the outside air temp is cool Sept-April. I repositioned the exhaust fan and filter from where is was previously. It looped over and down to the floor behind the lighting transformer. No need to ac the garage and the freezer isnt a huge heat producer. I just run the tent in the cooler months and it runs 72-78fWhat am I missing? It looks like you are exhausting air to the outside from the "lung room," not from the tent? Or is that filter running the other way, exhausting air from the tent into the room? Either way, isn't warmed humid air going into the room and being sucked back into the tent? And you also have a refrigerator in the room which puts out heat. How do you handle cooling the tent? [From the refrig. stickers it looks like you're in NW US. Isn't there a record heat wave there now or very recently?]
You can AC the room (not exhausting to the outside). This will work, but is much less efficient and more costly vs. exhausting from the tent to the outside and running the same AC to cool the room.
Oregon is one of the longest running Legal States both Rec&Med. 4 plants indoors or outside are legal to grow as long as they’re not publicly visible. Lots of organic weed grown in southern Oregon so you have to search it out in the PDX area. We don’t go to the dispensary often obviously but there’s lot of them. Cost recovery would depend on how your network of friends is but it’s so cheap and plentiful most people are just doing the cheap and easy. one means of recovery is gratuity. No farmers markets for flower/trade Thc but the CBD products are always at farmers markets. Public consumption occurs but is pretty low key. But it’s not uncommon to smell herb around town but mostly street people. Here’s some snips from Willamette Weekly recently.I am planning to move to Portland area early next year. Looking at local dispensaries, prices for buds and particularly concentrates (made from surplus pot?) look ridiculously cheap, that is compared to here in MD. So cheap that with the cost, work, space, etc. required for indoor growing I might have less motivation to do it.
Can you and any others in OR comment on the local scene? For ex, is there a surplus of cannabis such that it's cheap and high quality (what I'd hope for)? Are there any legal (or simply non-enforced) ways in OR for individual indoor growers to get some cost-recovery/profit? Are there such things as cannabis farmers' markets or swap meets? Are there problems openly or stealthily consuming in public, in parks, etc.?
