OK....heres a question straight out of my OCD head.
I have a humidifier to keep the tent around 65 (as you guys know, my tent is a little dry and a little cold this winter). It makes me nervous having the humidity up as I have my electric bar strip in the tent and will have 2 cobs going. is that ok? Like...dont water and electric stuff hate each other?

I asked Sm0 that exact same question about a week ago. I was worried as well.

Here is his reply:
"Nothing to worry about with the cob. I dropped a running light into a bucket of nutrients and it didn’t flicker. A little mist won’t hurt it at all. I’d even say it would burn off well before it came in contact with the cob too. I recently did some torture testing on them and nothing stopped it."

I am however still a little worried about oxidization.

Hi Mom: as the temperature of your grow room goes down so does the optimum RH. If you are getting condensation in the tent you need to try to warm up the room the tent is in a little if that is possible. If you are getting a lot of condensation you are going to get mold so dry it out a bit. Plants can tolerate a little dry air better than mold which ruins the crop. try to keep the room conditions in the gold for daylight hours and then dry it out for night time so you do not get condensation.

Sorry forgot to answer your question. As long as water is not running into your power strip you are ok. Make drip loops in your cords so water cannot run along them into the power strip. As a standard practice electrical should always be above any potential water level.

Gotcha, thank you hon!! Its just so hard to have low heat AND low humidity in the tent this time of year. Usually when I grow it is in summer and I am trying to figure out how to get temps DOWN.

Thank you. Yes my electrical strip is in the upper half of my tent, so all cords have to go "up" to be plugged in. Love this site, all you guys/gals are so helpful. I dont know what I would do without you!

Nice. Order and pay for 3 seeds, get 6. That 24ct is supposed to be good strain. Mostly indica I think.

Why dont you germ in paper towel (that is what Mephisto likes to do) and then drop it in a solo cup with coco in it. A solo cup with coco is a great medium to do the first 10 days of seedling life. Its easy to manage moisture in a solo cup of coco. That's the main benefit I like.
