Indoor Maybe I was expecting too much... anyway, onward and forward!

3 days later, 12/12
not a great deal happening, temps have dropped and the rain keeps on falling making it seem even colder, ah well

i think I may have to rearrange them in a week or two, they seem to be slightly lop sided, but that isnt an issue as they will require another defol at some point around 21 days of flower anyway.

Day 6 of tucking and guiding, its slow and steady, the space is beginning to fill...
Not a lot happening at this stage, just daily tucking and guiding, filling up the horizontal plane and letting them do their thing.

Pics in order;

The Autos on the balcony had a day of relative sunshine, but they are now at the age that they would be close to harvest in a tent, but are in fact insignificant stalks that survived and nothing more,
I dont expect to see any male flowers on the STS sprayed auto, in fact new female flowers are popping, I guess as it was already well beyond its early flowering period by time, so will not turn male as it was too late?? it does not appear to want to do anything much.

The STS sprayed Blonde Russian lady has not shown any sign of changing sex either... still its early days for her/him.

Could my STS be too weak? too strong, poor quality?

Onward and forward, better to learn from failures than not to learn at all.

light leaks...tjah! New
i opened the tent last evening and realised that flowering has barely began and its 12 days... why? oh why? oh why???

Ooops seems like light from the door ventilator grill was entering through the front air vent of the tent, along the aluminium foil air pipe and into the tent via the air diffuser... not a lot, but...
Anyway, I dived over to "thingiverse" and grabbed a 120mm light trap design, shrunk it down to 80cm with "Cura", printed it out on my sons 3D printer thingy and bingo! no light escaping or entering via the air ventilation system, gotta love Thingiverse and the people who design these things.

I should have realised that if light escapes light will enter the same way, silly billy me.... its a shame the printer plate isnt large enough to print a light box for the door ventilator...

Oh yeah, and while I was pratting around with the air vents I added 2x 2700k "red-ish" cobs (1 on each bank) to the mix to help stimulate flowering, so now have 6 cobs running @ total 160 watts @ 35cm

Daily tucking is going to plan, flowers have started... New
not a great deal happening, tucking and guiding almost daily, another week or so and the horizontal plane will be full, just around defol day, how convenient.... flowering has started now that I sorted the light leak, Yesterday I gave them some plain water, de-chlorinated and ph controlled,.

on the balcony we had a couple of days with some sun and last evening/night torrential rains. those poor little buggers are really suffering, the STS spray does not appear to be flipping either the Auto or the BRL to male, growth has been halted, but do not see any balls ... ah well rain, cold, poor chemistry practices? a bit of all 3? anyway, onward and forward.

Schwazzing time, a coulpe of days early, but life dictates actions. New
I feel constantly that this is not right while doing it... but I know the results are worth while.. after schwazz i gave them 1ltr plain water de-chlorinated and ph controlled, the lights go out after about an hour. the rst is up to them a little tucking untill the area is better used and then sit back and wait...............
I should note that this isnt a real scrog, I was too lazy and my back hurt too much to fully work the tent, so I guess its a half scroggy type grow... best I can offer at this time.

ps, the poor auto's and attempted STS flip on the balcony and the slow growth in the tent I have to put down to temps... and its not looking much better for the next couple of weeks.

Almost 4 weeks since fliip a nd strip, The cold has certainly played a part in my last couple of grows... New
So 1 week later, nothing great happening, flowers have kicked in a bit, plants are fine but not enjoying the low temps during dark periods...

In the past we have maintained the whole apartment at around 20-21 C,, day time temps in the winter-spring periods, which the plants enjoyed much more than I realised , now the back rooms are unheated (which is where the tent resides) so tent temps are down at 13-17C during lights out periods, I am pretty sure that is what has been holding everything back and causing a multitude of apparent issues.

The auto's that were placed on the balcony have not grown at all, have barely flowered and look very sad, but they have shown some crazy colouring, again due to the cold I think, will post some pics of them later...

The Gorilla cookies and Blond Russian lady, I have sprayed with STS on the front balcony have fared even worse, no sign of male flowers, even the odd new female flower on the GC, the BRL has not flipped to flower at all so far, its like the STS just stopped them dead in their tracks.... again I am going to put this down to cool temps day and nights,.

anyway, a pic of the current situation in the tent , life goes on, slowly.

1st 4 are 2x Gorilla cookies Autos,
they are very different in every way.

Gotta feel for the balcony girls, rain, rain, rain, cold, no sun... think they will all be binned shortly... maybe give 'em one more STS shot.

Hi brother. Things definitely slows down at 13-16 degrees but are awesome temperatures during the last days/week in flower - depending on strain.

At this stage I wouldn’t go under 22 as they still grows a little. Once stopped completely they still need a bit of warm air to grow, but I bet you know this allready - you just need to apply it.

looks like they need a bit more food IMO, but it could be the lightning.

Overall, good job my friend.

its the way it is with the heating, We have gone from cheap Russian gas to expensive US LNG, really hits the purse strings... things will warm up in the next week or two... I hope, if not.... well its just the way its going this period, expensive heating, expensive electricity, kinda takes the edge off growing for fun.

The light changes the camera colours, I have 2 red cobs added to the mix when flowering so the green doesn't come out so fresh, they are ok as far as food is concerned, they also need more time to recover after the defol which a was bit OTT... :baked:
