MC 2.0 doses?

I don’t get why we don’t have a Greenleaf rep here answering all these questions. I’ve read a hundred posts and still have a hundred questions. I’m using a “nutrient schedule “ cobbled together from @Mañ'O'Green and still haven’t a clue if I’m doing this right. This’ll be my last MC grow, pretty sure about that.
Because clearly they don't care or know the true answers. They just are throwing a product on the market and letting the consumer figure it out. I don't like the answers I have been given by their customer service anyways. I wasted a ton of nutes following their advice. It is cheap. It works.but don't expect good customer service

Thank you @Mañ'O'Green I appreciate your help too. This is all too much guesswork. Has your feeding schedule changed since all the products changed?

Wait don’t answer. I saw somewhere that you planned to use the old formula in veg and the new formula in flower since it has so much flowery goodness. Does this mean you stop using BE? SC?

For something that was supposed to be so simple, and so complete, it sure got complicated fast. Add to that half the time I mix my nutes and I get sludge, especially after 24 hours. The price is the only thing I like. Back to GH.

GreenLeaf Mega Crop is being designed to be a single use product. That is a tall order considering all of the different growing styles. The only reason I want to use the old formula in veg is because I have so much of it in stock. I want to use it up. It did an excellent job on my first run with it.

This is a simple nutrient line compared to AN or H&G with up to 15 products to be used at various amounts and times. Talk about confusing It would take an hour to mix up one batch. You can actually use only MC and have reasonable results.

I am going to continue to use BE, SC, Cal-Mag Pro and Kelp Extract. When I get to flower and switch to Mega Crop 2.0 I will continue to use BE, SC, Cal-Mag Pro and Kelp Extract but at half of the rate I use them with Mega Crop 1.0. Except the Kelp which I will use at full strength.

I do not understand why you are getting sludge? That has never happened to me. I weigh out the products in grams into individual plastic cups. Do Not Mix Dry Ingredients together. I mix them with warm water stirring with a stainless steel spoon to dissolve them. Then I add them to the reservoir. Cal-Mag Pro first and wait a few minutes for my circulation pump to mix it in then the others one at a time in no specific order. I just wait a few minutes in between. The Cal-Mag first is because all of the other nutrient lines I have run tell you to do it that way, The ones that have a separate silicon product tell you to start with that one.

I hope this helps!

I measure everything in grams. I take hot water and prepare the calmag in a small plastic bowl, stirring with SS or plastic. When it’s fully dissolved I add it to half tap/half RO water. Stir and let it sit. I prepare the MC the same way, in a separate plastic bowl with hot water. Ditto the Sweet Candy. The bud explosion and algae extract I just weigh and add directly to the res. Add diamond nectar and hydroguard.

Less products than GH but I feel I know what I’m doing with them. And none of that premixing. This next grow is going to be MC because it is what it is. But I’m not a happy camper.

It is important to be happy and have fun; if that means going back to a different vendor so be it!

If you took the time to read you will notice that I asked if there was MORE Cal-Mag in the 2.0 vs the version [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] mix. Hence using less of the additional CALMAG bwith version 2. People with Coco/Cobs often need extra Cal-Mag. Not enough in the mix alone.
I appreciate the info. Let me run this by you so I am certain that I have this correct; with MC 1.0, additional cal/mag is needed when growing in coco with cobs but with MC 2.0 less cal/mag supplement is needed but not as much as with MC 1.0.

So my thoughts on this was the same from before of not to over complicate it. Start with a fractioned amount and increase strength every week until burn or max strength and back off a bit of it is too much. As far as mixing. Im basically just throwing 2 scoops into a 20 gal resorvoir amd stiring it for 30 seconds with a hose. It dissolves right up and in running clean. My only complaint at this point is having to adjust the PH. Its normally sitting at 7-7.5 after its all mixed up.

I just started using MC, and find I do need to add extra CalMag as all my plants are showing deficiencies; I'm not surprised, with hydroponics and LED's the plants really need a lot of extra Ca and Mg I've noticed, no matter whose nutrients I use.
I will see how things progress as I continue to use "less is more".

I think that is a little bit of overkill. I find the best thing to do if possible is to simply make the water tonight and mix it the best that it will. Before I use it the next day shake it up and check the pH. It will be dissolved plenty good enough by then. That being said, I have made water many many times and used it immediately. Sometimes the Sweet Candy is not fully dissolved, but it is not like we add much of that anyways. The new 2.0 seems to take a little longer to shake up, but also seems cleaner looking in the jug and keeps mixed well once dissolved. I get a residue with the old version in my jugs.

Agreed. Ph is more stable and it stays mixed much better. Also I haven’t noticed any residue yet.
