Hi bought this Chinese cob which was working great but last night took it apart to see what size fans I'd need to replace as they are loud. Put it back and put it the wrong way round woke up this morning and it had melted some of the reflectors and one cob was smoking.

I've unplugged the cob from the drivers and had a look but it looks like it's soldered on so won't be able to replace it?

Hey,
Bummer to say the least. Yes it is replaceable. Can you solder?
Replacing it will need to figure out or get some specifications on the chip and driver. Is there anyway to get that info?

U have good heatsinks and housing maybe driver.get another cob and some fans . soldering isn't to hard w a lil practice and some flux.Get some pics with drivers up close
