Mephisto Genetics Mephisto BF Orders Lost by USPS

Took @Proph 's advice and filed an official claim with the USPS. I guess just asking the mail carrier wasn't good enough. I can send @stan_mephisto the unaltered version, plus the claim number.

I Think the next step should be making the Claim on the USPS web site...then let us know how they Resolve it for you... :headbang:

Once Mephisto post..it is then in the hands of the delivery service....Mephisto don't have Control over that.

If USPS said we have no records of a delivery for you..different matter..but your delivery was scanned at one of their depots...so USPS Had it in their hands..

This is not a Mephisto mistake..so you ardent Mephheads step back..and let the rest of us See how it pans out...Thank You.. :pass:

Contact your local USPS to see if they can locate your package".

That is Standard procedure... :headbang: ..Customer responsibility

When I spoke with them over the telephone, I was told the next step would be to file an insurance claim. I declined filing the insurance claim, and the email and letter I was sent shows the USPS closed out my "Missing Mail Search Request" case. I have sent the case number to Mephisto in case they intend to follow up.

Then you have probably screwed your own pooch....if you Declined the insurance claim...and USPS Closed it out.

I don't work for Mephisto...or get payments from Mephisto..but I would say that was Standard postal terms..there is Customer responsibility to make an Insurance Claim for Failed deliveries.

Yes, the next step would be to file an insurance claim. I will let Mephisto do that. The package only had $50 of insurance on it, not even close to covering the contents of the package. :frowny:

They didn't buy any additional insurance coverage. Basically, the contents of the package where way underinsured.

Nope. USPS told me there can only be one open claim at a time. If I kept my "Lost mail search" claim open, Mephisto couldn't open up a second claim. And with the case number the USPS gave me, it should speed up the next step. Nothing was closed out permanently.

Great..you made me Worry there... :headbang:

I created this thread because of the lack of communication with Mephisto. I've let them know several times that I never received my orders. Each time was the same response, "Contact your local USPS to see if they can locate your package".

So I guess me asking "unofficially" about my package wasn't good enough. Basically, I was told it didn't look good and to file a claim after 15 days. I again let Stan know, this time with no response back. I even checked the Mephisto website that states," Unfortunately though, delays outside our control may occur, so if you have not had your parcel after 21 days, please get in contact with us using the Contact form and we will try and sort the situation out as soon as we possibly can." I let them know that its been over 21 days, and was given the same "Contact your local USPS to see if they can locate your package".

That was ten days ago. I still haven't heard from Mephisto. In the meantime I filed a "Missing Mail Search Request" I guess to make it officially "Lost". Spent several hours dealing with the USPS only to find out the package was last seen in Denver on 12/4, and I can file a claim after 15 days of shipment. Kinda the exact same thing my mail carrier 'unofficially" told me two weeks ago.
The letter post above is what the USPS sent me in response to the "Missing Mail Search Request".

The thing is that there is nothing more that they can do than to guide you to right place to find your postal package, to UPS. Did you not get an tracking number you could track the package with or tell to UPS for them to figure out where its going or was it a letter with no tracking number?
