and its ok with him.
:pighug:

Walter does not fuck around :slap: or maybe in Mephisto's case he does :crying:

@mephisto
The catalog is definitely large! making a choice has become difficult~ I'd say letting go of some of the old is great! pave way for some of that new stuff you guys are already working on. Keeping up fresh stock for all the offerings is challenge.

Guess its time to bite the bullet and grab some more SourHound before shes's a goner! Hope you guys keep her around in someway for a future project. She seems like a wicked resinous lady.

Hey guys,

Fairly quick question, as we are expanding our artisanal line, and already having quite a large catalogue it's becoming fairly difficult to keep everything available and in stock from the originals line,

Also so strains have, to me, essentially been superceeded by better offerings,

For example triangle - which was our first og based strain was then bred to karmas og to make 3bog, the 3bog was then bred to the yeti og to make another upcoming original

Similar to auto blues, it was bred to the livers to make auto livers that'll be coming out shortly,

All the originals of course have a place in my heart and a place in our journey, and I feel they're good as classics but I'd rather keep developing new strains. And maybe it would be nice to have a tighter more concise catalogue.

The strains I would think to drop as feminised from the originals line would be:

Auto blues
Chem city blues
Deep blue c
Triangle
Sour bubbly
Sour hound f2

There's potentially future plans for the sour hound f2 and deep blue c - but I won't get into that now.

Any thoughts welcome as ever.

Cheers Mitch

Its easy to forget, because you guys are so gracious, that most indie seed companies only carry limited stock strains & mainly focus on the next cross drops they're working on - the fact that you have an active catalogue says wonders about how you guys conduct Mephisto.

That being said, slimming down the originals lineup & focusing more on your new developments is a no brainer. I'm personally excited about 3BOG x Yeti :smoking:

I'm an OG guy going way back, so any further developments into deeper & deeper Auto OG territory is WELCOME :smoking:

I think it's an excellent idea if you drop the least popular strains out and possibly use remaining stock as freebies or discounted seeds. Obviously the strains suggested are being used in newer crosses so there may be an interest in growing the original to see the lineage but that's for a hobbyist or avid fan (I'm one to do it). I think the collector's boxes with the classic strains will help the hobbyist/avid fan.

Slim the catalogue!

Nice thanks guys!

That's cool, there seems to be a general consensus.

And I mean, the originals line will still have plenty of choices, and will do probably until most of the favourite originals have been bx'd or bred to something new to work on.

Then I figure over time, the current artisanals will be bumped down to the originals line. As we add in fresh artisanals

And some people also nailed it, its way more fun for me to work and progress new stuff than a straight reproduction.

Although some originals are super fun to re-visit and I think man, I'm an idiot for not growing this strain for some time - like recently with toof decay it's probably been a couple of years since growing it and they're super lovely.
24c also we'll keep around for some time as it's probably the most consistent strain.

The eventual idea - at least for 2018 I'm figuring now will be to have the current originals line available in regs so they're still there for anyone that might miss them, and it also would give people the chance to re-create any of the limited editions they liked that have come and gone but that we won't make again.!

Anyway I guess it's just about keeping a healthy balance, between projects, seeds in demand and what we love doing

Cheers

That sound like the best thing ever to hit the auto scene ... normal growers will still buy the latest artisanals and specials :pighug:

but u also cater to the connoisseur ... this seems like WOW :worship:

Ok heres my thoughts on the chem city blues.... 10/10 for taste, smell and bud structure etc but for me the let down was the strength so i feel if the smell and taste traits have been have been mirrored in some of the newer strains but with more of a kick let her go.

By the way no disrespect intended, it was still a beautiful strain and i as you know exclusively stick with mephisto, but just sharing my thoughts on that particular strain.
