Mephisto Genetics Mephisto Colloidal silver project

please send me the small batch recipe of the STS!! you da man:woohoo:... thanks for letting me know that i cant smoke it lol. I was thinking i was going to spray one branch per plant and get seeds of each lol, NOT! great info  Im going to check out your ripley now:thanks:

mixing is simple, you will need a double digit scale for the small batch because most scales don’t measure in .01 increments. 0.05g SIlver Nitrate into 50ml , 0.25 Sodium Thiosulfate Into another 50ml .. make sure they are both well dissolved, then poor the silver nitrate into the other while stirring and then continue to stir to make sure they are thoroughly mixed.. that gets poured into you sprayer and topped up with tap water till its your chosen ratio ( i go to about 700ml ) and then rotate the sprayer around for a minute or so to make sure its all mixed up well. done.

It won’t look like much when you weigh it but it has worked without fail everytime for me. Some plants are more stubborn then others though. Usually you mix that once ready to start spraying. When first pistols show you can spray just really drench the leaves underneath like you would with a foliar spray then spray once more a week later and boom your done.

Hey Maria thanks for the nice response and thoughts here :d5:. Ill tell you i have thought of all these but the number one thing i care about is TASTE!! usually along with taste comes great smell so id say the second most important is effect. Yeild is by far the least concern of mine. After so many years of commercial grade bud i really dont enjoy any thing other than connoisseur buds.:chimp:

Great. Then select parents on the taste criteria.
You have a challenge here ---
have to grow the plants all the way out, plus dry and cure, and then taste, before you'll know.
So you may be best to do a basic selection of mothers and fathers,
then do a big range of crosses, and only after the grow out ... taste, you can pick your faves.

It's a bit different from, say, breeding for general vigor and strength.
Because then you can just stress them all during growth process,
and cull out those that aren't tough enough.

All the best, hermano!

I like a challenge :hookah: lol, I really appreciate your nice lengthy responses:headbang:.

I am on the hunt for that taste factor for sure. buttttt I have decided i will be using the ripley as the pollen donor the first round just to ensure i have extra seeds after the crop to play with in the future because im addicted to having seed stock (currently have hundreds of seeds from breeders and my own crosses all photoperiod plants though) but really need to up my auto stock. so...

After i grow the first round out i will then have an idea of the flavors and get serious about selection from there.

Ive been away from this fanastic Community for too long and just want to say i appreciate all of the comments, thoughts and vibes!!!:vibes:

Hey @mikey2017 , you wrote "...0.05g Silver Nitrate into 50ml, 0.25 Sodium Thiosulfate into another 50ml.. Make sure they are well dissolved..." What are they being dissolved in? Sorry for the noob question, really want to make sure I understand the process. Thanks.

That was my fault I forgot to list that.
50 ML of distilled water. Same for topping it off distilled water is recommended for the spray bottle you’re using.
