I've done 18/6 20/4 and 24/0...and when I was running 24/0 there was no difference to running any of the other times,just a bigger electric bill lol.

I ran'em all and settled on 19/5 cause my math was off when setting the timer lmao too much medication that day I guess. I may try 24/0 again this winter as temps drop and I'm running autocobs so may need to for temps.

We go 24/0, I think it makes for faster development.
Never did a scientific trial on it, but we had some double grape under 24/0 in one part of the farm and 20/4 in another. And by eye the 24/0 looked way better.

Coloration will be strain as well as temps but we just plain water the last few weeks and they get a nice fade on.

Anything 18/6 or more is going to work and not be detrimental to growth. Rest is personal choice for the most part.

This is great. Always nice to learn from one another. @derek420colorado in no way do I take it as bashing bro . I appreciate you trying to help with something that's a bit off. To answer your questions, I hand water every other day in airpots so I can certainly say they aren't over watered, pots get feather light. however I do take my pics for the most part when they're "sleeping". They seem to get a bit more turgid after an hour of lights on. Another reason I believe they don't pray hard is simply my cheap lighting. My temps and humidity, my feeding schedule, genetics and air movement are all pretty dialed. I believe the plants want a ton more light then my 2 Mars hydro 300w (134 actual) can deliver. That is my theory as to why my girls take an extra 20ish days then others as well. As far as 20/4 vs 24/0, these ladies were planted in the heat of a California summer. The 4 off hours are during the afternoon when my groom gets a bit warm. My next run, I'll run them 24/0 as winter temps will be perfect for it. After that small, unscientific run, I'll let ya know.

From the horses mouth, scientific or not, if you're visibly noticing a diffrence in quality, 24/0 next run forsure! Thanks for chiming in!

Timers can be fiddly things if you've got the segment timers,especially if your well medicated lmao.
That's the only reason I went 24/0...I grow in my shed,and temps dip quite a bit this time of the year.

There is no way they do not finish faster with 24/0 that is 20% more light per day which means 20% more grow time and possibly a faster finish
