Mephisto Genetics Mephisto Genetics Micro Grow.

I like what you are doing, I just added more lights to make sure I am above the 50 watts per square foot guideline.
Can we talk about CFL lights: distribution, intensity, hot spots... and especially... shaded leaves.

I've been snipping lower leaves if I can't get light to them. I am thinking that the plant is putting more energy into some leaves than it gets back because they get so little light. What do you do?

Thank you for watching me fumble through my MGMG II grow. The "Autoflower Expert" moniker is a bit overstated IMHO, but I have learned a lot from the AFN team and members and of course just doing it.

The best info on lighting is the Grow Weed Easy web site. http://www.growweedeasy.com/grow-lights. This site is about the BEST info for anyone willing to try their hand in cannabis growing. I'd recommend that you check the site out. I'd just be telling you what I've learned from Grow Weed Easy.

Trimming the bottom leaves will not hurt the girls. It will help the girls in a number of ways. It helps air circulation, and the energy will go to the existing larger growth. Tucking the top leaves under the bud sites to get more lighting is recommended over snipping. There are growers that are more aggressive in the trimming of their girls. I don't have the guts to do the extreme trimming that some do.

This my 1st time that I've over maxed the SuperBox with CFL lighting. The heat issue has not been a real issue, however it is much warmer in there. You need to be careful with the excess heat over too much lighting.

The SuperBox is lined with bright white reflecting material. I think white gives a more even light refection, but that's me.

Read the Grow Weed Easy site. Tons of info and you'll find it's easy to grow weed.

Toofie has turned around nicely from whatever her issue was.

Toofie on September 30. Droopy, lack of color. Photo taken under 2730K lighting.

Toofie after her nutrient flush. Photo taken under natural lighting. Not droopy and her color is coming back.

Flippn eck!!! How do you reposition the photos to get them posted w/o cranking your neck. I hate this.

Anyway..Very slight yellowing on lower leaves, but a vast improvement.

She will 6 weeks old tomorrow.

Photo of my boy Bobby Lee. Eight years old 15 inch field beagle. Another photo that's not repositioned. HOW THE HECK DO YOU GET PHOTOS TO BE POSITIONED W/O CRANKING YOUR NECK......

:funny:you might have to edit your text to say toofie has turned sideways. I have this problem frequently. What are you using to upload and are you using a phone camera or a camera? Were those pictures taken with the camera turned? Not guaranteeing I have the answer yet.

The photos are taken either on o iPhone 5s or my Canon digital camera. Haven't had this issue till I got this crappy Windows 8.
Need to get ready for work now. I'll try something later.

Thanks.

Thought you'd like the photo of General Bobby Lee.

I don't know about the cannon but I have the same phone as you. I have to take pictures with my phone sideways for them to come out right on the site. Either that or crop it even just a tiny bit like the outer edges and it won't be rotated when you upload it. It took me forever to remember to tilt my phone everytime I take a pic because I usually don't do that lol. But try either that or cropping a little bit.

Yes, been waiting to see him, fine looking dog.

Amazing turn around on Toofie ... what do you think there was about the nutrient flush that did it ?

Great dog pic ... for me as long as I hold the camera horizontal when taking all photos and don't need to rotate them either in my camera or on my computer they post correctly ... when I would get creative w/ the camera and hold it 'portrait' style I could not get my pics to post upright no matter what I tried ...
:toke:

A 1/2 strength 3 gallon flush with a high N nutrient. Was pHed @ 6.2-6.5. Who knows? Been foliar spraying her with Epsom salt the last two mornings. The SuperBox is MAX'd out with light. Warmer too. She needs a spraying until she sets out some good buds. That should be by Sunday or next feed. Takes 3-4 days to see real results, but she has gone from fair to good.
