Mephisto Genetics Mepthisto's New Auto x Photo Crosses

Hey all / Stan,

I know I am not crazy, I thought I saw a post here or on Reddit where Stan said Mepthisto has a lot of new auto x photo crosses in the works they plan to announce soon. But I can't find the post or any discussion about it here. So I thought I would throw this out there in hopes of getting more information or at least confirmation I didn't dream this all up. lol

Thank you!!! I thought I read 20 and was going to say that but that just sounded preposterous lol This is indeed exciting and considering he said a couple weeks 10 days ago I am hoping that means in next few days they will announce. I know we may not see these for 2-3 harvests / seasons to work out breeding and these may not be 20 ready for release, I am still excited to see whats in the pipeline.

Wow, no kidding?! @stan_mephisto are you guys working on the equivalent to Sweet's F1FV's, and other's so called Fast Versions? I can attest to keen interest in that by many folks I know! In particular, outdoor growers... The primary caveats being: mold resistance; actual speed in bloom; how readily they trigger into blooming... My experience with them from both commercial and private breeders runs the gamut, which includes F1's with the rare fully auto'ing expression, and/or hair trigger blooming.
I run FV's every year! And as you know, more and more are getting into this game.
Funny, I still have some old photo crosses Mephisto made way back, offered up by Mitch and Daz. Fem's made from plants so nice they just had to knock them up! One, my fav' is SourBubble/ChemD x Alien OG. This girl produces fantastic buds that have distinct rose-floral aromas dominating, like nothing I have had before... Mitch and Daz know about her, I've tried waving her at them a few times now as a worthy candidate to pursue....

Whatever the mechanism is behind "auto'ing", there is definitely more than one modality of action behind it, and it sure a hell isn't a simple double recessive allele gig either, seen far to many "F1" results to counter that argument despite what some breeders, even Sweet, have to say about it...
In fact this year I ran a custom cross of Early Bluebonic x S99v4 (auto) that behaved like an auto in all manners; sexed and triggered bloom outside, in July, done in 10 weeks total.... I've also had a Maine's Own Blueberry/OGKush x Cindy99 auto do the same thing...

I'd love to hear Mitch and Tim's take on this -
Of particular interest is if there is significant difference between auto x photo results, and photo x auto results?
At your convenience, maybe pass this on to the Bosses please, as I despise Reddit/IG/FB... AFN is where the info needs be at anyway, a lot of interested and curious eyes here!

interested as well, hey wairia , sounds like your talking highrise genetics there, which i used to grow since the udg days, you as well? i think for northern outdoor growers, something thats been missing for a few years are the semi auto types used to finish in september in canada.
is the discussion suggesting these types can be wound in these f1 crosses. cause that would be frickin great!

Hi Caddis, a nice surprise to see an olde schooler from UDG days here!
krk/cres was one of the original admin. here when AFN was founded, that's where I found him originally, and RCMC seed store
As you know, UDG died (I stopped visiting long before that), HighRise is retired but Krk is still active at another private forum, and still making some choice crosses... There's not much out there for the old crosses, look at Real Gorilla Seeds, they have some and other great Northern clime fav's...might be another store, I'll have to ask! Some of his works are repro'ed by private breeders, that's where the EBB came from...

I've not tried many other company's FV. Sweets to date have performed the best, may run J47 F1FV next year; Delicious makes several now too but I have no feedback on them (otherwise a solid breeder)... HSO/Dinafem started dabbling, mixed results on those... I have yet to run the Fast Green Crack, BCN Fast Critical.... Dutch Passion's lone FV, Think Fast, is a winner!

I'm surprised they would be doing that when they can't even put out seeds of what they have already developed at a reasonable pace.

Some testers have been sent out for the latest photo x auto cross so there is something to keep an eye out for.

Honestly we have just gotten shit on so much in the past for prematurely releasing info about projects, then having delays and hold ups. We are making sure things make it to completions before sharing info as to not create unnecessary hype/excitement.
