mhydro 300w (5w) something is wrong

Hope this is the right place to post this. I just bought a Mars hydro 300w (5w lights) and it's advertise as a veg and Bloom light. From my understanding (please someone correct me if I'm wrong) that red light promotes Bloom and blue promotes veg stage. But this light looks completely white. Like as if I've just turned on a regular house light. It doesn't appear to be blue or red or purple like my other light or like other lights I've seen. Is my light defective or broken? Or is my assumption of what the colour the light should look like incorrect? I have another led light and it makes my grow space look red and purple.

Hey lunch my new mars was same way. More white than purplish color. I'd say it's fine, but a pic would help

Do you have any pictures of grows using the lights that you mentioned were also on the white side? I'm reading conflicting statements about the benefits of warm and cool white which Mars claims are in my panel

Mines the same, also got 180w mars ufo which is very red in comparison, seems ok but def need more cal/mag from the extra blue/white ive noticed. Not overly impressed with it but it is very good value for money and you would be hard pushed to find anything better in the price bracket. It seems to really strip my plants of green. Sorry, dont mean to be negative, just airing my own personal opinion and experience. You definitely get what you pay for with LEDS.
Going to upgrade I think, Tina what options would you recommend for 0.8x0.8x180 tent please? looking at the Mars2 or reflector? or maybe the smallest epistar pro. Oh and I absolutely love my UFO, had for nearly 2 years, maybe even more, and have grown some lovely plants with it, very good quality I rekon, wasnt that cheap at the time either, also noticed there are green led in the ufo but not the 300w, maybe thats why the colour given off is different?
