Grow Mediums Micro sized dwc setups worth it?

i currently use coco with a single blumat jr xl dropper and it works fine in my spacebucket for a single 1 gal grow. Plant is growing 2x a soil plant in my experience and it’s overall better.

I ran into this thread, as I am looking at same tent. Would there be a large difference with micro setup? I only currently fill my Rez once a week with blumats and looking for something even simpler.

Anything is possible, but, below a couple gallons, dwc becomes a full time job, in my experience. Fast growing thirsty plants, and a tiny res is enough to drive me nuts. Topping it up twice a day, and chasing ph all over the place.
I have had success using my home made bubble cloner (1 gallon of water) to veg photo clones for a week or so, but only under fairly weak light.
I have seen several awesome micro-dwc grows on forums over the years. Hats off to those growers, 'cause that's a lot of work!
