I know. I got excited last night. Was looking for a high quality cross section of a flower/bud. Not necessarily microscopic, but a detailed cross section of a mature bud.

Really wanted to see how the pistils form the flower and---where are the stigmas seated. If in pairs of two one for seed and the other for its nutrients--where do they connect.

Still looking for either a moderately magnified photo or a detailed diagram.

Nevertheless, the link puts the plant into visual perspective. Learned a lot.
