You do fair amount of outdoor grows. Do you recommend a specific nighttime low temp before you consider putting your plants outdoors. Here its still getting fairly cold at night, 7deg C is quite common right now. Unfortunately, if I wait too long to plant, they will finish up when the days are getting colder again and sun hours are decreasing. A couple more weeks and we should be seeing nighttime lows closer to 13deg. We all know that with autos, if they dont grow fast during their limited veg stage, you dont get shit for yields! Curious to know how you determine when the optimum time for outdoors is in your area...

If you have the option to start indoors and transplant outdoors around 14-17 days, that will help get them established if the temps aren't quite ideal. that could also help you harden them off.

We put some out in March, where temps wouldn't have been as low as 7 but only marginally into double digits at night.
I didn't see any ill effects from cold but a few got a little frazzled by the sun, a few didn't pull through but most faired well and finished up a couple of weeks ago.

Unfortunately I didn't record any hard data, it was more of a set it and forget it type of deal.

Hey, im in the netherlands and currently having my plants grow over a month(guess 5 weeks+), i think they had some trouble with the lower temps as both my Ripley OG and Supernatural OG are around 25cm. I try to put them inside during the colder nights, but did not manage always. Three of them are flowering for over two weeks or longer and one of the ripleys is starting to now. Hope this helps.

Clear mulch is the most transparent to infrared radiation and warms the soil to the greatest extent of all plastic mulches, increasing daytime soil temperatures from about 7º to 13ºF at a depth of 2 inches. For warm season crops, such as vine crops, earlier yields and higher yields can be achieved with clear mulch.
