New Grower My First Grow Journal!

Hey!!
Whew! Just got all caught up. Nice job on the journal, good detail and good insights too. Ya, autos can be a bitch, but oh what beautiful bitches they can be!
What I have gathered about the seedhouses and the issues we have receiving our orders is that it is way dependent on what customs the order goes through. Some are way easier than the others. Don't want to mention which tho. I am fortunate that all of my attitude and herbies orders have come through with no problems.
One thing I use to de-chlorinate and keep the girls happy is an aquarium airstone and a cheep air pump. After I water and refill the bottles I stick an airstone in there and let it bubble until I use it. Seems to work well and inexpensive to make and use.
Ya as you see 7 is a lot for that space, I don't like to go over four per tent and even that gets a bit crazy!
Keep up the great job, looking forward to following along!!
Oh and here's a little :slap: that's more that deserved!
Peace and happy growing.

I finally got some beans to show up in the mail. Excited to try the Russian Rocket Fuel after seeing this. Nice grow!

Thanks guys, it's been a fun ride and I've learned a lot since I started this grow! Willie, I won't be running more than four plants from here on out.. I really didn't think autos would, or could get so bushy! I've tried to stake them up to grow more vertical because of space but they want to hang out everywhere! I've had seeds busted from Attitude and Seedsman, the only places I've used.. and both companies have been very very helpful and quick to get them sent back out. I know orders going through Chicago were getting stopped, that's where mine go every time of course! Good luck to you! :smoke:

Gadget, the RRF is quite the beast! That's what I figured all the autos would do, nice and small compact plant with a few side branches.. if they all looked like that, I could run eight and still have room! If she smokes as well as she looks and smells, she may be a regular at the party! Honestly will probably do a RRF photo after seeing this girl, I can't imagine her after six weeks of veg and 16 tops.. :tiphat:

Day 64

Well we're entering the ninth week of the grow and still not looking like chop time anytime real soon. Trichs are getting cloudy but we aren't ready to flush yet, I like a minimum of a one week flush starting with Sledgehammer at half strength. Followed by only water until I cut her down. Starting to see more orange pistils and yellowing leaves. Yeah, they were yellow before because of nute issues but you can tell they are nearing the end.. some more than others.. Haze 2.0 wants to hang out another month I can tell! Tried to get some trich pics but you know how that goes.. Sweet Skunk and +Speed from last night

It's been two days since I last fed a little with distilled water, plants seem to have loved it and look better every day! I think my ph is looking real good with the lime and the flush. Thanks for all the help guys, even if you didn't post in this thread, there is a lot of great info on the site! They've really turned a corner and are looking better and better.. I just hope they have enough nutes to stay healthy, I'm a little worried I flushed everything out. Gave them all a light feed again tonight.. just to a little runoff. Each plant received per tsp.. 1/2 cal/mag, 1 Tiger Bloom, 2 Big Bloom, 1/2 Boomerang, and 2 Bembe per gallon of water. Threw a pinch of Cha Ching in one gallon because the stuff is awesome, AND this will be the last feed for Miss Sweet Skunk and Miss +Speed. After tonight it's plain water.. will give half dose of Sledgehammer when the trichs say Go and it'll be chop chop soon after!

Tried to get a little bud porn for ya'll but my HPS is a real bitch.. Before I cut these girls down I plan on taking some pics in better light.

Little of this and that, not sure who is who but the Blue Cheese is starting to get the blues a little.. so sad to see her like that

And a tip! If you use a zip tie real tight on bamboo stakes, it keeps pipe cleaners and twine from sliding down the stake. That way the twine never slides down and stays in place. Don't cut off the extra part left on the zip tie, they work great for holding up branches and leaves! A better example of the true color of the leaves as well..

Oh sure bring Guns n Roses into it, probably get that shit stuck in my head now every time I glance down at my sig!

Thanks man, I'll be happy when they're all safe and sound in jars.. I've used up all my luck on this grow so I'll be glad when it's over! Looking forward to running more this winter for sure! Decisions, decisions..

Looks good. Man with that much flower time I better hold off a minute, I was going to run the RRF outdoors but it took so long to get the seeds it might be too late now.... and I just filled my tent with some photo plants lol.

The plants look really really good man

Day 67

Checked all the trichs yesterday morning and we are starting to get close! Checked lower branches and top branches, Haze 2.0 and the Jack47 are still showing 75% clear at least so they got a light feed of 1/2 cal/mag, 1 Tiger Bloom, 1 Boomerang, and 2 Bembe tsp per gallon, Jack received this mix at half strength. Just to runoff. The others have began the FLUSH! Mostly cloudy on the others, I think the Sweet Skunk and +Speed only have until maybe Sunday to live, the others another few days. Decided against Sledgehammer flush since I just did it a few weeks ago and haven't fed a whole lot since. Gave one more very light feed of 2 Bembe, and 1/2 Boomerang, then sent the whole gallon through to drain into bucket. Straight water with maybe a little Bembe sweetness from here on out for them!

I also added a pump with six air stones, one for each gallon of water. Now I can bubble my water before I use it, hopefully get all the chlorine out and add some oxygen as well! Had no idea I could get a pump with two outlets capable of running six stones, the tubing, the splitters, and the stones for like 20 bucks total at Walmart. Win!

Grabbed a few pics! Also, the smell is ridiculous.. I like to leave the grow door opened a little to blow "fresh" air in, and I really can't anymore because it stinks up the entire house. Even with a 400 cfm fan on high with a carbon filter in my small room it's outta hand. No way I can pull them out to water if I have guests coming over in the next eight hours! Will be getting a new filter before the next flower cycle.

Thanks guys, stay tuned for harvest pics!

Day 69

Harvest time! Checked the trichs again on +Speed and she was ready to go, almost completely cloudy with some amber on the top buds and getting close on the bottom ones. I've never done a two part harvest before but seems like a lot of folks do so figured I would try it. I left most of the lower ones that still had more white pistils and weren't quite ready and took most of the top orange ones. This was a 50 day plant so at day 69 I gave her enough time, plus I got a lot of work to do in the next week so wanted to spread it out a little!

I got my Oakton yesterday! A little troubled though, my ph out of the tap is 7.4 which I was close at guessing from water reports. However, the bubbled water that I left out for 48 hours was reading 9.0! I have a bottle of ph 7 test solution and the meter is right on the money. I read online that this is normal and common, great. Now I can assume my ph swings have been out of control, oh well another lesson learned. I did not feed the other plants enough to run off, just a little water and lemon juice to drop ph to 6.7. Haze 2.0 and Jack47 have more time so they got 2 tsp of Bembe and lemon juice at 6.7 as well.

So chop pics! So exciting, but man it's a lot of work! Sticky sticky and stanky for sure, they will hang in the dark with indirect air flow for about 4 days before going in the box for another couple. Boveda should keep me right where I want them for the long haul in jars. Got some pics with the flash and some without..

+Speed 69 days young
