Welcome to my mosh pit.

This is my first propper grow, i have only grown a few bagseed befor,
This was put together on a very tight buget, spent about £100/£120 puting room together, thats for everything except soil, seeds & nutes.
(i am a hoarder & a diy nut)
40 for seeds & soil (JRB+JI 2 & 3)

3 auto mazar, 1 dp think diff, 1 auto sweet tooth all from Just feminized.com

Germination started 4:00 friday 15 feb
All cracked 23:00 saturday 16 feb
All tap roots out 10:00 sunday 17 feb
All planted 17:00 sunday 17 feb
All above ground 18:00 monday 18 feb
3 seed cases dropped 20:00 tuesday 19 feb
1 seed case dropped 20:00 wednesday 20 feb
Picked off the last seed case 10:00 thursday 21 feb

I have called this space my mosh pit as i play them music for about 5hrs a day.

I have been using tap water stood for 24hrs, bubbled with air compressor (oil free ofcorse).
started feeding end wk3, ionic nutes + mollasses & epsom with lemmon to ajust ph.

The worst bit was germination (will they, wont they).
i had a few problems with temps & air folw to start with (bathroom fans are a bit lame)
so i built my own, ive posted on this in DIY section "my plans for fan & fliter" cost me £5 to build & works a treet.
I have also made my own elec timer board thing, old consumer unit mcb, contactor & timer.

On wk5 i gave 1 mazar to a friend because i was running out of space + it was thier birthday.

now on wk6 & all seems to be going well...

Its taken me 6 wks to get my shit together & write this, im not sure what pic is what plant or the order they go in.

er.. make that 7wks.

Fell free to comment or ask questions.

other pic's are in my album.

I am thinking about some bondage (lst) for my girls, any suggestions would be good?

lots of other pic's in my album.

I am also thinking about 2nd grow, not picked any beans, but thinking about doing a few things differant.

Lights, ive been useing cfl's they are doing their job but what a pain in the arse they are, you have to move them all the time. when i tested them with a light meter i was shocked at how poor the penatration was (16" bulb with a 2" wounder) but they do work & there very cheep... i want some led for round 2.

I am also thinking about putting the pots on bathroom scales (only doing 4 at a time, so should cost about £10), lifting them to find out how much to water is in there is not pos (crushed a few bits in neck & am now slowly grinding through the nerves down each arm).

I also think i could do with some extra air flow in the back corners & a drip feed type system, ill post some plans of that some time soon.

My homemade £5 bucket fan is working really well, ive just turned the speed up a touch & then turned it back down because the dif in temp between setting 1 & 2 drops the temp from 30 to 20 (settings go from 1 to 10 & im on about 1.3). If i go for led's i might have to get a heater for the winter or go back to useing a bathroom fan?

Plants are looking good! If penatration is a strugle and the lower budsites arent as mature when it comes harvest time you can just harvest the top sections you feel are ready and lower your lights to aid the lower sites and they will mature and fatten up over a small amount of time so it is not too bad. I did that with a plant grown with my weaker 50W LED and managed to chop it down in 4 parts over the duration of just one week. But yes, always look to improve things. Goodluck and good karma to you and your plants:gthumb:

Thanx VapedAs, that sounds like a good idea.

has anyone spotted the ebay led, what a joke, its got 38 leds & rated at 3w, most of these things go for about £5, luckly i only paid £1, but i have been laughing at it for 7wks now & still find it funny, so to me it was worth £1..

Yeah I did actually notice it hanging inbetween plants lighting 2 bud sites and lol'd a little, on the inside of course.:o Live and Learn and am sure those 2 nugs are enjoying it. Have seen them floating about on ebay.

Hey GM, nice looking grow. Really digging the diagram. I'd replace the the LED with a CFL if you have the capability, I mean - why not.. it looks like a mini flash light, lol.

LST might be a bit of an issue now that your ladies are so big and they've had a fan blowing on them, that makes the stems strengthen up a bit. If you've made it to LST, let us know how it looks!

wk11 and still growing

i thought it was about time i updated this, i kinda got carried away watching them grow, ive not had any real problems with grow (any that i did have were easy to sort with the welth of info on this site) so far on wk11 & all is growing well, although i did underwater them for a few wks. i am now waiting for some leaves to yellow (muddy's guide). i did get impatient & steel a few nuggets the other night (quick dry) got a hit but tast like id just licked the lawnmower clean (will not be doing that again).

i do hav one question.. is it normal to find tiny little seeds (sise of a grain of sand) in your buds??

Nice man.Im diggin the colors of your flowers dude.ive personally never had anything close to the sand sized seeds or anything. Not really sure what that could be to be honest.Nice job though bro!!:thumbs:Im only guessing at this point but if they are indeed seeds,id think that they would be a bit bigger this far along in flower.

up close & personal

i took these about a week ago with a friends 800x usb microscope, photos are very tricky to take with this thing, best to take as many as pos & delete what you dont want, i took over 200 photos & kept about 80, here are some the rest are in my album.
